  1. This article pretty much nails it, IMO: http://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/guest-column-trudeau-made-a-colossal-mistake-with-the-pipeline The last line is pure gold: And a sticking point for me as a Manitoban: Ottawa can spend $4.5 on this project but not put a cent into getting the situation in Churchill fixed. For shame.
  2. Wrong. Read the article. The $500M franchise fee is obviously important but the success of the Golden Knights on the ice has played a major role in the potential increase to the salary cap.
  3. It's basically a hangout for meatheads these days from what I've heard. A shame because the patio was a good spot during the summer back in the day.
  4. Maybe read the article. It wasn't just the franchise payment. In other NHL news: Classy!
  5. And seriously... Dissing a fellow fan and forum member because they live elsewhere...? That's pathetic.
  6. https://www.tsn.ca/golden-knights-success-to-help-push-salary-cap-to-78-82m-next-season-1.1097245
  7. Probably both, actually.

  9. The Moose came from Atlanta...?
  10. She's a pretty lousy actor. I'm still surprised she was cast for GoT, especially in such a prominent role.
  11. And the tire fire in the nation's capital gets some more fuel tossed on it: http://ottawasun.com/sports/hockey/nhl/ottawa-senators/former-senators-captain-daniel-alfredsson-we-hope-to-get-a-new-owner
  12. Little has a NMC through 2020, so no way he gets moved. Perreault and his M-NTC, OTOH... That'd be just over $4M off the books.
  13. I'm only speculating. I'm sure something more modern in that scheme would look alright, though. Anyone remember the Polar Bear jersey the Moose wore a while back? In any event, I'm excited to see what the final design will be.
  14. Something similar to this, perhaps...?
  15. Disastrous career thus far, especially when you consider how highly touted he was back in 2016.
  16. St. John isn't even listed on the depth chart for today's pre-season game:
  17. He certainly has his work cut out, that's for sure. Plenty of big decisions to be made.
  18. I can't see him getting that significant of a pay raise. What makes you see that?
  19. I'm starting to think a few of those bone spurs moved their way up into his brain and caused irreversible damage.
  20. Cheveldayoff will find a way. You don't move a solid bottom 6 like Armia.
  21. Aaaaand of course you miss the point entirely.
