  1. Was there a better option on the roster? Temple, Knox, Santos-Knox, Hurl, and Miles... Not a MLB group that strikes fear by any means. That's on management, who did a lousy job scouting that key position. That was only exacerbated during the season by standing pat, which I'd argue is on the coaches and on management alike.
  2. I'm really hoping the WFC introduces an alternate third jersey for 2018. It's been way too long and the last thing we got were those hideous digi-camo disasters that looked as though a bird had the runs after devouring blueberries.
  3. But wouldn't O'Shea be a more seasoned coach after those accomplishments...? He's the best coach this team has had since Dave Ritchie.
  4. Despite the pretty solid TV viewership numbers, attendance at actual Argonauts games continues to be awfully low. Could you perhaps shed some light on why the latter remains an issue, @bluto? As an outsider, I am genuinely interested in hearing your perspective on that and what you think could be done to remedy it.
  5. Personal attacks...? I "attacked" your horribly constructed opinion of him. Grow some thicker skin if differing views on a forum are so hurtful. You don't get to pass off your biased nonsensical views as fact and then cry foul when others call you out on it. I never said Muamba was coming back, anyway. I simply said if he were a free agent (he isn't, so it doesn't even matter), he'd be worth a look. Good to know my rent in your head is still free. Typical J5V... talks about class and then pulls the keyboard commando routine. Wasn't it that childish behaviour that got you banned from TEP?
  6. One issue with this offense is that it in the red zone, it seems to shy away from what works outside of the red zone. LaPolice seems to go for the kill shot rather than take advantage of the tailbacks and use both downs effectively. Not sure how much blame, if any, falls at Nichols' feet for that, but maybe calling an audible is something he can consider going forward...?
  7. Yeah, this is some seriously clueless nonsense. Get a grip on reality. You clearly hate the guy for taking a better opportunity down south, but remove emotion from the equation and don't be blind about it. It isn't like the dumpster this team was back in 2013 helped anything as far as retaining talent, either. But you go ahead and blame him for doing what he felt was best. He went to the NFL for two seasons, made some money, and it didn't work out. Then he returned to CFL and while I don't agree with the way he went around touring the league, he was a highly prized homegrown talent and teams bid on him. Why you begrudge him for that is absurd. And tell me this: who's a better free agent NAT MLB out there right now? As for the team signing his brother, you'd have a point... except for the fact the Eskimos picked up him the following season, and have had him on their roster ever since. So, try again. I suppose by your hopelessly dumb logic, any player who gets interest from the NFL has burned bridges with respective CFL team who lets him go. With that shitty perspective, it's a good thing you get no say in personnel decisions and we just have to put up with you flapping your proverbial gums on this forum.
  8. His weight was definitely an issue going into TC this past spring, and his head coach even said as much: http://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/muamba-addresses-weight-issues-with-riders He had packed on some meat for his two NFL stints and needed to shed it to return to his CFL form. Muamba's a talented MLB, something this team needs. I'd hate to see him play in a Riders jersey again.
  9. Playing with a broken finger and losing his top weapon surely had no effect on Nichols' production in the final few regular season games or anything.
  10. http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/astronomers-interstellar-visitor-1.4410477
  11. Discipline was the key issue tonight and the Spaceys made the Jets pay. Nice attempt at the comeback, but too little, too late.
  12. Corrected for you. Yeah, that screenshot isn't necessarily proof of anything.
  13. A man who physically abuses inanimate audio communications equipment surely is no man!
  14. That middle frame was ugly. Cody McLeod's face ugly. Is it just me or is that goalie chant played to death already...?
  15. How exactly did he crap on the Bombers? Yeah, I'm as salty as the next fan about his 2015 CFL Return Tour, but he didn't crap on anyone. He looked out for his best interests and went with the highest bidder. That being said, the Bombers should've done a better job luring him here last season. That's not on Muamba, though.
  16. Sure. But even then, the 2017 Argos were all of 4 wins better than their 2016 counterparts. I'd put that more on a healthy starting QB than anything else.
  17. Wait, we're no longer residents of Rupert's Land...? Oh, boy. Better make sure to take this down after work:
  18. The different between the Argonauts in 2016 vs. 2017: a healthy Ricky Ray.
  19. Yeah, I'm baffled at anyone already writing off Givens. He was only signed in late September and only played a few games.
  20. RedBlacks part ways with at least two coaches: http://ottawasun.com/sports/football/cfl/ottawa-redblacks/redblacks-coaches-chiu-moore-wont-be-back
  21. I remember people saying this about the 100th GC between these two teams. And then the GC last season when the Stampeders were favoured to stomp the RedBlacks. It's one game in a winner take all. Anything can happen in the big dance, but especially in the CFL. I don't care who wins; I just want an entertaining game, similar to last year.
  22. But Hellebuyck played with different - and inferior - players during his time in the AHL, too. And he posted excellent numbers in his two seasons with the Ice Caps and Moose, respectively. And the two played together in the AHL during the 2015-16 season, with the exact same roster. Hellebuyck's numbers that season were superior to Comrie's. Hellebuyck: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=144065 Comrie: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=132742
  23. Jason Maas: "Hold my busted headset."
  24. How is it apples and oranges? You're comparing two players who play the same position.
