http://3downnation.com/2017/11/15/bombers-defensive-coordinator-richie-hall-will-undergo-thorough-review-by-mike-oshea/ Good quotes from O'Shea in here on the defense. Some notable - and ugly (bolded) - statistics regarding the defense, too:

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)

Regarding the Alouettes' HC vacancy: -
TV viewership numbers for Argonauts game are apparently pretty high around the GTA/Southern Ontario, so I'd say yes. Argonauts fans came out of the woodwork at the GC back in 2012 and I'd expect much of the same this time if their team makes it to the big game. I hope they do, too. I don't want to go to Ottawa to watch the Riders or their mouth-breathing flatbilly fans.

Nichols was tied for third in passing TDs (28) and the offense scored 43 combined (28 passing + 15 rushing). If the team upgrades its receiving corps (which it damn well should), there's no reason why the offense can't score more majors next season.
-
When did he say he was happy with the defense? The two things he praised about the defense the last two seasons were the 100 takeaways and defensive points scored. He stated explicitly the team needs to change what it's doing on defense, and giving up the yardage it has needs to be minimized in order to win a championship. That doesn't at all like someone who's happy with his team's defensive system.

Hellebuyck is playing great this season. It's also nice to see the boys in front help out their netminder. The defensive zone play is much improved, not to mention having a healthy blue line.
-
Makes me wonder if his age will be a factor. He'll be 27 next month.
-
It's looking good! Second best goal differential in the Central Division (third in the Western Conference), as well as second in goals scored and in goals against.
-
So, your confounding logic is to blame the OC of an offense that was tops in the league in several categories, as opposed to acknowledge the real problems that held back this team the last two seasons... Simply because you don't like him. That's pretty childish.
-
Yeah, except for the fact it isn't. Too bad for the rest of us, as we'll have to put up with another year of your incessant whining.
-
Maybe. I'd prefer to see him in Winnipeg sooner than later, though. Speaking of free agency and contracts, Westwood finally makes a point: I couldn't be more on board with the idea of making contract info public.
-
Agreed. There were still eight minutes left in the fourth quarter when the Bombers made it a 15-point deficit, anyway. The garbage time angle makes no sense, especially in a playoff game.

Van Damme still beats them both in the end. Maybe he'll be the next OC!
-
I don't think anyone is ignoring him. It seems like a foregone conclusion he'll be here next spring, anyway. The team is apparently pretty high on his skill set and considering he turned down an opportunity with another team this past season, I have to believe he's high on the Bombers, too. I think posters here bring up Gray because he'd provide considerable NAT depth, which is always good in the CFL.
-
I'm not sure I understand your point. Spooner < Gray + Spooner
-
Well, for one, consider the poster. His biased, weird hatred towards LaPolice is plain as day. Did LaPolice run over his dog or something? As for Dinwiddie himself, he's just a QB coach. What has he done to warrant consideration for a promotion to OC? And besides, if LaPolice does take a HC job, there's already a QB coach here who I'd rather see get the job, simply based on familiarity with the current personnel and system.
-
You gotta be shitting me.
-
Boy, it'd be nice to see Gray up here sooner than later. And by sooner, I mean TC 2018.
-
Can't you just come out and say it...? You want Khari Jones here.
-
Serious question: who would want as OC if LaPolice moves on to a HC gig elsewhere?
-
It is nice news on not mentioning Hall at all. Hopefully, that means he's gone ASAP.

Two different stories.
