  1. How did you come to that conclusion?
  2. Being chippy and acting like a petulant child are two different things. Ball was guilty of the latter the other night, IMO.
  3. They're 1-2. They lost in week to the Alouettes. That's some odd justification and still doesn't explain your claim the Bombers "barely" beat the Argos last night.
  4. Wide Lefty stinks and his know-it-all routine gets old fast. I can't listen to The Big Show anymore; it's no longer entertaining, much less informative. Like listening to a couple of crotchety old pensioners bicker on a park bench... Just torturous to the ears. From a career standpoint, though, he was a pretty okay kicker and had some good seasons early on. He might have overrated his longevity, though.
  5. He's a beauty, eh! So much personality and a great attitude, not to mention pretty talented. Glad he's a Bomber.
  6. 4 tackles, 1 sack, 4 pressures. All in all, a good night for Westerman. He needs to string together a few more games like that.
  7. I can agree on the first win. But it was a hard fought battle in hostile territory coming off the bye week (the first win by a week 1 bye team since 2014). Stealing a win in OT by their skin of their hides was a nerve-wracking affair. I can't agree the Bombers barely beat the Argonauts, though. The second half was a dominant effort and a convincing win, holding what's been a pretty potent offense to a measly FG. No barely about it, IMO.
  8. Let Wild heal up - take as long as he needs, IMO. Knox looked solid in his place last night. He's hungry to keep playing.
  9. I still can't understand how the C'mon Center could review that and uphold the play called on the field. That was bewildering.
  10. What a clown. I'm sure he'll be reprimanded accordingly in-house. Trestman won't stand for such childish behaviour.
  11. Or how many silly penalties he'll take in a single game. I counted at least two last night.
  12. I seriously forgot how much I missed the cannon. So glad it's back!
  13. Bit of an over-reactionary statement, wouldn't you say...? That said, I didn't like the play-calling by LaPolice for the majority of the first half last night. Way too predictable and unimaginative, IMO. The best is when there's a flag thrown and she basically starts blabbing while the official attempts to explain the infraction. That's super professional. - Nobody Ever
  14. This is true. He had a better game last night, anyway. Defense as a whole played quite well last night.
  15. What about dynamically? ...I'll see myself out.
  16. Personally, I think it's the system more than it's the personnel. I've never been sold on Richie Hall defenses.
  17. Deal's reportedly worth $500M. Nice payday for Karmanos if it goes through. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-07-13/greenberg-is-said-to-near-500-million-deal-for-nhl-s-hurricanes
  18. Thursday Night Football Bombers must beat the Argos Lousy Greek sailors
  19. It was 71% of 1,521 total participants across the country. http://angusreid.org/omar-khadr-compensation/ http://angusreid.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/2017.07.10-KhadrReleaseTables.pdf
  20. Well, you quoted me... And then went on to say it was a pointless discussion... and then continue beating a dead horse and accusing others of arguing for the sake of arguing. I went off the most relevant information at hand, which was Frederick's tenure with this team - in which he played CB in 2016. I merely pointed out that fact as a counterpoint to him being a potential replacement for Carmichael at HB. I didn't feel the need to waste time and explore YouTube for highlights that weren't relevant. If you're going to get bent out of shape over a harmless post, then just ignore it.
  21. No question a solid O-line is important in maximizing a QB's chance at success. However, you can win with a middle of the pack O-line permitted your QB has the talent. The Eskimos in 2015 demonstrated just that. Perhaps even the same argument could be made for the Lions last season. From 2012-2015, the Bombers had neither. On second thought, from about 2009 they had neither.
  22. Goes to show you can't win much without a capable/durable starting QB. 2012-2015 for the Bombers demonstrates just that. And looking back on it... All kinds of ugly.
  23. Frederick only played CB last season, IIRC. I mentioned it for that reason, not because of his bio. And to that end, I expressed my skepticism on if he could've been moved to HB and be better or worse than Carmichael. Just because it's easy for someone like Heath or Johnson, that may not be the case for someone like Frederick. It seems strange to respond to something one finds pointless, BTW.
  24. How is pointing out your blatantly obvious confirmation bias an attempt at being a bigger person? You're so upset you can't even come up with a rational response to anything in this thread. Others have posted a mountain of information to validly contradict your views and you refuse to acknowledge any of it, clearly because it clashes with your views. The truth hurts, eh. Just out of curiosity, were you this blindly outraged when Maher Arar was given $10M+ and a public apology under the previous Harper Conservative gov't back in 2007?
  25. I didn't say he couldn't. I don't know. All I said was he played CB during his tenure here and using two others players as examples doesn't prove anything.
