If the Jets are looking at a depth forward signing, someone capable of playing centre or wing would be nice. Versatility in the bottom six is never a bad thing, IMO. Someone like Pirri or VandeVelde could be a nice fit. Even Nestaril could come cheap. If it's just a dedicated centreman, perhaps Winnick... Although, I would expect he's looking for a decent payday. Cheaper options could be Desjardins or White.

It's a great look for Rider Nation. Fans in the rectangle province back in December 2015 were tickled pink at the Jones' hiring and thumbed their noses at the rest of the league. In the 18 or so months since, the shoe appears to be on the other foot. It is an absolute joy to see what an utter failure Jones has been on account of wearing too many hats and biting off way more than he could chew. And I'm glad Carter's along on that ride. Destined for greatness...? More like garbage.

The 2015 Riders were 0-9 and the Bombers lost the LDC that season. In two consecutive seasons, we see very similar records for one but different results. So, I agree: a W-L record doesn't have an effect on the outcome of a game.

Meh. It worked out just fine last season. The Riders were 1-8 going into Labour Day Weekend and the Bombers managed a win there for the first time in over a decade.
