  1. And it's a personal opinion based on seemingly nothing substantive. Nichols demonstrated his value last season in what was easily his best campaign in his career. You saying you don't care for him sounds like more like a subjective approach rather than an objective one, BTW. Also, I can't understand the logic behind stating LeFevour will surpass Nichols at some point. What evidence is there to even make such a claim?
  2. Only one person slammed him. And that was addressed accordingly. Sadly, revisionist history is present with every fanbase... Drew Willy carries himself much in the same way Ricky Ray does, IMO. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
  3. I think you're spot on. That's just his personality type, IMO. Very even-keeled with a cool demeanour, both as an individual and a player.
  4. Well, I think QB is where he draws the line. And this tweet seems to indicate as much. Unless Pedersen is in on the conspiracy.
  5. Based on a single pre-season game...? That's a pretty silly claim.
  6. Agreed. Willy couldn't get it done on the field but there's nothing to suggest he wasn't a good teammate or was some kind of coward. Pretty sad comment.
  7. Of course you don't think so. Not a shocker based on what you've posted in this thread. Your rationale is flawed and you seem to have a very obvious, negative bias against O'Shea. What was done in 2014 or 2015 is irrelevant at this point, anyway. And seriously, what would you like him to do about Hall now?
  8. That's just baseless speculation on your part, though. Unless you're privy to what takes place behind closed doors, you can't make statements based on conjecture and pass them off as fact. Strong personalities will disagree on things and argue about them. I don't think that's necessarily detrimental or unhealthy permitted the parties do so respectfully, which I think is the case with the WFC at this point in time.
  9. Who's been a better available alternative to Hall since he was hired in 2015, though?
  10. Still technically a rookie.
  11. Except Young has looked mostly terrible all TC before getting injured. No way Jones is dumb enough to think not playing him in a pre-season game is in some way advantageous to the first regular season tilt.
  12. It's good Lankford redeemed himself later in the game, though. It's just too bad the nice TD return he had was negated on an offside penalty.
  13. I thought the whole "eye in the sky" thing was to be used to remedy close or iffy calls/non-calls but it's been much of the same old, same old. It looked like a flag should've been thrown on that play. Then again, it is pre-season.
  14. Beats the piss out of TSN's garbage highlights package. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Or it would just air on another TSN TV feed. I think TSN getting the radio rights for the Bombers is inevitable.
  16. What did he do? Carter's attitude will hold him back for his entire career.
  17. How do you know if he hasn't tried to get Enstrom to waive it and trade him? It's not like fans know everything that goes on behind closed doors, anyway. Enstrom's injury issues haven't helped anything, either.
  18. This is crazy. I really, really hope there are tapes.
  19. Calvillo had two pretty lousy campaigns in 2006 and 2007 (regardless of whose fault it was), and then rediscovered his form in 2008 and sustained it for five consecutive seasons. On the one hand, you blame Bellefeuille - and rightfully so. How does Trestman not get any credit for helping Calvillo, though? How is it Trestman's fault Montreal didn't have a QB to take over after Calvillo? Would that error not be on the GM...? I don't think anyone disagrees this new situation in Toronto is a legitimate test for Trestman. And I'm pretty sure Ray is a proven QB.
  20. Didn't King come out after Burke's silly tirade and basically go into damage control and try to put out the fire? http://www.tsn.ca/burke-flames-could-move-without-new-rink-1.772863 I can't see the Flames relocating. Where would they go? No doubt the organization has to figure out its venue situation, but I don't think it's reasonable to take Burke's comments seriously. He's doing what he does best: stir the pot.
  21. LA seems like a perfect fit for him, IMO. And I doubt he'd have interest in playing in front of the hometown crowd in Vancouver.
  22. I meant games at Mosaic 2.0 but I like the way you think!
  23. And Labour Day...? Make it a hatty.

  25. So, Calvillo's career wasn't revitalized when Trestman took over as HC in 2008...? Calvillo threw for his third highest yardage total, highest TD total, and highest comp. % to that point in his career. Weird how you ostensibly give the latter no credit whatsoever, especially when you consider how comparatively mediocre Calvillo's previous two seasons were. I mean, his TD total alone in 2008 was more than his 2006 and 2007 totals combined. In five seasons together, Calvillo's QB rating was never below 98, the Alouettes finished first in the East Division four times, and posted a 59-31 record. Not to mention three consecutive Grey Cup appearances and winning back-to-back Grey Cup championships in Trestman's first three seasons as a head coach. Both individuals complemented one another, helping to cement one's legacy as the top QB in CFL history and the other establishing a solid ability to be a head coach, at least at the CFL level. You make it sound like Trestman deserves no credit for what he's accomplished thus far in the CFL and that he was merely just along for the ride. Seemed like they were a pretty formidable tandem, IMO.
