  1. Posts like this is why I think this forum needs a love react option because like just isn't enough. I'll be there tomorrow with a couple buddies partaking in the fun! Looks like the rain has been pushed back to Sunday, so the patios should be bumpin' tonight and tomorrow. I'm so pumped it's finally feeling like summer after a brutal winter and an equally brutal spring (April was just craptacular). Enjoy the beers and food - and hopefully a big W at IGF!
  2. You hitting up any in particular? I'd highly recommend Kilter's patio on a day like this. The Common at The Forks, too!
  3. That and it doesn't have to be a competition for worst provincial gov't, anyway. I'd rather get flicked in the berries than kicked in the berries, but I'd prefer neither ideally.
  4. Here's some context for anyone who's interested: https://apnews.com/article/us-supreme-court-business-travel-canada-lifestyle-da1f72c794ba511fc11eb023fc85a3d1 And more information regarding the SC decision: https://apnews.com/article/us-supreme-court-travel-canada-government-and-politics-clarence-thomas-1fc4973d204e397c91a2c411b9ee722f The ramifications of the Trump Administration continue to be felt and it will only hinder civil liberties further in that country, IMO.
  5. Title Defense Part II begins tonight!! #ForTheW
  6. Considering the direction in which the CPC is headed recently, I think you're giving them too much credit. What took place Tuesday seems like one of two things, IMO: opposition members laughing at a legitimate concern expressed by Singh and his proposed solution, or opposition members not paying attention to the NDP member who has the floor and laughing at unrelated antics taking place in the house. Either way, it comes across poorly as the troubles of "regular" Canadians are not being taken seriously at all. And when you factor in how well they're compensated (https://www.taxpayer.com/newsroom/poll-nearly-8-in-10-canadians-against-mp-pay-raise), it makes them seem even more out of touch with reality as they're insulated far better than most Canadians from the skyrocketing increases to commodities like fuel and necessities like food.
  7. Singh seems pretty convinced:
  8. Ah, yes. The useful idiots... and unfortunately, Canada seems to have plenty.
  9. Surprised this flew under the radar: https://globalnews.ca/video/8903556/singh-chides-mps-for-laughing-during-question-about-grocery-prices You have to be a real piece of human excrement to laugh at the fact Canadians are struggling with food insecurity.
  10. Because the vast majority of people don't have a choice or a say in the matter.
  11. Shell: $9.1B (https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/05/shell-earnings-q1-2022.html) [highest quarterly profit since 2008] It's not inflation. It's not the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It's not the carbon tax. It's greed. Rampant unchecked greed.
  12. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/two-mps-defect-poilievre-1.6480338 Delusional fuckwits.
  13. The higher seeded team swept the lower seeded one. How is that a "chokejob?"
  14. This is flat out incorrect.
  15. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/tempe-city-council-votes-to-continue-negotiating-arena-deal-with-coyotes/ Baffling how much ******* leeway this franchise continues to get despite its continued lack of profitability over nearly three decades.
  16. Voter apathy also helped him get re-elected. Less than 41% of eligible voters in Ontario cast a vote: https://www.fairvote.ca/2022/06/03/pcs-form-majority-government-with-40-83-of-the-vote-ontario-voters-cheated-by-first-past-the-post/
  17. Saw that earlier. What a pathetic display by an unhinged loser. And over something so trivial.
  18. Maybe. He's always so willing and enthusiastic to sprint through it, though. Despite his apparent dislike of the guy.
  19. What an arbitrary and somewhat ridiculous metric.
