  1. Montreal Calgary Edmonton Winnipeg
  2. I'm in too if there is still time
  3. Very classy. I might even forgive him for talking nice about that horrid alternate uniform. Best of luck, Mr. Vega
  4. Cornish
  5. I've got: The Al's over the Redblacks, but it will be close. Calgary over Hamilton because, well, they're Calgary Edmonton over Toronto, TO looks like they might be in deep and I'm not sold on their QB when the bullets start flying Winnipeg over Saskatchewan, because they're the Bombers! Go Bombers!
  6. The problem of having a really good backup is that they won't want to stay a backup. The paradox - find a guy good enough but not too good.
  7. Not a chance the Riders are letting that guy get away. Even if they handle their PR a little differently the message is the same, "hands off". If that were true they wouldn't have cut him. Rider fans are pissed off at Taman for this move. I think that the Rider faithful will have many more opportunities to get ticked at Taman this year unless they go something like 14-4 and into the western final. Rider fans seem to think that once they win the Grey Cup, they ought to do it at least every second year. We havent won a cup in forever and I expect the same with the bombers Personally, I dream of a day where we win multiple GC's in a row, you know, like we use to...
  8. MOS figures they could start as many as 10 if need be.... Go for 12 N starters! Tim Horton's dozen! Or we could shoot for a Saskatchewan dozen.
  9. Just so he can see your post. Whoops, ninja'ed.
  10. Nothing wrong at all in someone asking if someone has an extra ticket. Nothing at all. Geek, if I had an extra ticket, you would be most welcome to it, and I'd give it to you for free. Not because I'm a great guy, but having my own drink fetcher would be cool!
  11. Point of order: I don't think that's a sneer, that looks more like a sardonic smile.
  12. Actually, I welcome it....so long as we are winning. I don't care if O'Shea regurgitates recycled quotes from Knute Rockne every time he opens his mouth. I don't feel the need to know if a Bomber player has athlete's foot in his daily pressers. I want my coach to keep a lid on things and just show me his plan on game day when everyone else will also have the opportunity to see it, and judge it at that time. This is where we disagree. I expect to know the game plan at least 24 hours ahead of time. Clearly, by then, they already know what the game plan's going to be, so why wait. We deserve to know ahead of time so we can immediately begin discussing all the shortcomings that we will find in whatever plan is put forth.
  13. and more importantly, why haven't they been announced yet. I mean seriously, they need to focus on cutting the dead weight before training camp so they can focus more on the roster guys. Seems like a GM/HC 101 thing to me.
  14. It sure is nice that this year, for a change, we don't seem to be focused on trying to grab up the cuts from the other TC's, JBR's post notwithstanding.
  15. I'm guessing that you must have missed watching him last season, because he got more than a few reps there. Suffice to say that he impressed them so much that they immediately went out and hired Glenn. No thanks
  16. I think I recall them saying that it was somewhere is the 125 million range.
  17. HA! I'm so going to steal this.
  18. It's understandable. I'm leery of someone who says they don't want extra attention just wants to play football, yet signs up for a reality tv show and agrees to hold a press conference announcing his signing in Montreal. I think if he really didn't want extra attention he might have asked what happens when every other American player who washed out of the NFL before even playing a meaningful game signs in the CFL and said let's do that. I respect that he's being open and there's a risk in that, but it's pretty clear that the media attention is something he's playing into at this point, not trying to avoid.Kind of presumptions for any of us to know the pressures being put on the young man, and undoubtedly being pulled in a million different directions. You can guess his intentions, and you could be right or wrong, but the reality is you have no context to base it in. I doubt Michael Sam asked for a press conference, and I doubt he truly wanted a reality show, quite frankly. Team: Hey Michael, we'd like you to be at a press conference to announce your signing.Sam: You know, I'm just here to play. I'd rather not, if it's all the same. Thanks. Agent: Hey Michael, want to do a reality show? Sam: No. I'm thinking that it might not have been as hard as you're suggesting. And I'm willing to bet he has way more pressure than you give it credit. People follow this story, and this player, on and off the field. You might be entirely right, but I'm of the opinion that life is choice and when you make a choice you don't then turn around and bemoan the choice you made. So if he chooses to put himself into the eye of the storm, he shouldn't complain that he's there. And by the way, when I say choice, I'm NOT talking about his orientation.

  20. I'm interested in this too
  21. Where do you live? I live in Saint John, NB. I moved from Saskatoon a week and a half ago. I am like 3 hours ahead of Fort Mac, lol. When you leave Saskatchewan, do you get to keep the banjo and overalls, or do they have to be turned in?
  22. I agree, the coaches show has never been more entertaining. As in "Oh my god, look at that car wreck, slow down, I want to get a better look." entertaining
  23. The reporters do in fact ask about Richards. They did it last night in O'Shea's postgame interview (4:25)... but you won't like his answer http://www.bluebombe...index/id/110947 He clearly says Richardson. Well, if you add a son to Richards then.... he would be talking about Richards' kid

  25. Ok, other than that, where does he say that Richards is a crappy player?
