  1. They have some money saved from Nichols... oh wait, nevermind.
  2. News flash: no one wins every year. The downer brigade is going to have to work a bit harder to find things to complain about, but revisiting past years is the lazy way. Put a bit of work into it and find reasons to ***** about the here and now. And by the way, I don't remember who was saying it, but any savings we might have made with Nichols' salary went into paying Collaros
  3. I've heard that Nik is a second-year student in the Creative Communications program at Red River College and a Winnipeg Blue Bombers season ticket holder.
  4. But not the white ones, because of the war. It was those big yellow ones.
  5. But... do you remember when nickels had pictures of bumble bees on them? Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say.
  6. I would argue a few of his points, but seeing that the site's name is Last Word on Canadian Football, I can't. Well played, blog site, well played.
  7. There are food vendors in the stadium that have more of an upside. Hell, in a pinch, I'm betting we could find someone in the stands who might offer about as much as Pipkin, and for a lot less money too. But I will grant that he has one thing that seems to attract some fans, they know his name.
  8. I was going to post the same thing... ironically. Wow... just... wow.
  9. Personally, I think they should do some preemptive firings this off season just so everyone knows that they mean business.
  10. Best quarterback of the past decade!
  11. And, of course, you are basing this on your in depth knowledge of all the facts and your years of experience managing a CFL team, right?
  12. I'm always amazed how guys who have absolutely zero knowledge of the situation believe that they can figure it all out from the odd snippet of news (2nd hand at best) and just know how things are going to work before anything has even happened. With that ability they really should spend a lot less time here and a lot more time playing the markets and racking in a fortune every few days.
  13. Just don't bodily propel me beneath public conveyance please.
  14. So.... they threw him under the bus then?
  15. So, the player's agent goes to the press to complain about something that had not been public before he bitched, and somehow that means that the Bombers are throwing said player under the bus? I don't think that phrase means what you think it means.
  16. Seriously? I'm sorry, but I don't share (or even understand) this sort of level of entitlement. They make their announcements in the press, because that's how it's done.
  17. WINNIPEG, MB., January 20, 2020 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed American defensive end Justin Alexandre and American linebacker Dylan Donahue. Alexandre (6-5, 256, Incarnate Word, November 12, 1997, Elmont, NY) recorded 55 tackles, 8.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in 11 games in his senior year with Incarnate Word and was named to the 2018 Southland All-Conference first team. In August 2019 Alexandre saw action against the New York Giants in his first NFL preseason game. Donahue (6-3, 247, West Georgia, August 20, 1992, Palo Alto, CA) was a member of the Atlanta Legends in the Alliance of American Football League. Donahue graduated from West in 2011 and played collegiately at Division II West Georgia and was selected in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft by the Jets and appeared in four games. https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/01/20/bombers-add-two-roster-11/?fbclid=IwAR0pojt58npjE6oTWdzK-G7mYXbNb_RPX23KvFBfjee6aEYzfn28x9FHbjA
  18. From this guy I think: And for a matching crown, check out moremoneythanbrains.com
  19. I don't know, I've heard that he has always gotten the most out of his players.
  20. I think that the league is saying that when it comes to the QB position, the most skilled of all skill positions, the only think that will matter is talent. So if the kid in question has the talent to play QB at the pro level, he'll play. If he doesn't have the talent he won't, unless he can play another position. Is that fair? Maybe not, but I've never seen a poster in a college or pro locker room that guaranteed fair treatment.
  21. It means, if it's your kid, you know more than the coaches and your kid should get to play.
  22. And the biggest welfare recipient in the CFL has it's hand out once again. Almost 3 million people in Toronto and they can't find 20,000 to come to an Argos game. No one in TO cares about the Argos of the CFL yet, "we need them".
