You know what, I think you're wrong. You know how I know that? Because the people that actually know what the hell they are taking about (the coaching staff) put Nichols in and kept him in until they were sure the game was out of reach. He got a bit dinged last game and if they really believed that they were fine without him, that Streveler gave then the same chance at winning, they could have given him the day off, but they didn't. You can have your opinion, but it's a totally uneducated one and not supported whatsoever by the facts. Other than that, it's fine.

I heard it the same way. Further to that, I'm not sure, but I kinda doubt that most American players would even know that "Big Smoke" is a nick name for TO.

A sneak peak at today's festivities in Riderland:

We've gotten 2 wins in two tries with him at the helm. Neither Mitchell or Reilly can say that. Are they better quarterbacks? Maybe, but thankfully, football is a team game and this team is winning. Funny how quickly we forget the days when we weren't, the days when we were trying to figure out how many wins we might get and whether that would be enough to get us into the playoffs. Nichols isn't the best qb in the league, but maybe, he doesn't need to be.

Booch I think that the problem is that people are afraid that the CFL might do an audit on the game stats of our two games and when they see that we didn't pass for more than 300 yards each time, they'll pull the wins. We can't just rely on points scored.

This. A bye after the first game of the season likely means that the "jelling" takes just that much longer. And even still, we won.

Football is often about big plays. It's sort of the whole point. The argument might as well be "if we hadn't scored enough points, we would have lost".

Why don't you focus on something from maybe the last 5 years or so, or is complaining about things that happened 8 years ago your thing? Because if you checked, we've actually done pretty well in more modern history.

And how exactly, do the stadium owners market their wares during a CFL broadcast? I'm quite sure that TSN did not do that stuff for free.

If you are wanting to attract people who live in that particular city, but haven't been to a game in a while, or ever, wouldn't showing them some of the "stuff" you can get at the stadium be a good idea. Marketing is marketing.
