All I can say is that, I think if I was a Rider fan, my major concern would be that the team looks like they absolutely ****ing suck. That’s a 4 win team at most.
-
Toronto vs Saskatchewan - if there was any way to pick both of them to lose, I'd have gone with that.

Andrew Harris

It's almost like Walters knows what he's doing, because I heard that losing three all-stars was going to be the most devastating thing to happen since the Hindenburg.
-
Actually, a lot of the Riders deferred revenue comes from blackmail payments. You have no idea how much money can be generated when you call a player and say "Give us money or we will trade for you and you'll have to spend the next 2 years waking up in Regina." Even Liam Neeson wouldn't touch that threat.

Maybe it wasn't Edmonton's first game of the season? Maybe BC was a bit deflated after losing their home opener? Honestly, I know we've had years of practice at being disappointed but let's not worry too much. We match up well against any other team in the league and finally I'm hoping that now it's the other team's turn to worry about us!

Well, won't be seeing Bluto around here until December. There are 10's of people devastated by the results of today's game.
-
Now, in fairness, when you consider the number of loop backs the average family tree has in Sakatchewan, the calculations can get quite challenging.
-
Wow, that's the number of people at an Argo's game when they hold "Bring two friends for free" day!

TBurg 10 seconds after the Bombers win the Cup:
-
Oh, I don't know. I kinda liked their strategy. I see big things ahead for them in 2022-2023
-
Let me translate for you: Both quarterbacks played good because while the Bomber qb threw three touchdowns, no interceptions and the Bombers won, the BC qb threw two interceptions and one passing td but threw for more yards and, most importantly, he doesn't play for the Bombers, It's simply really, once you crack the code.

Not only starters, but all-stars! We're doomed, DOOMED!

Aphasia.

While that's true, having to take the job knowing that you can't pick your staff might cause a good candidate to pause. This might become one of those unexpected consequences of a salary cap for coaches. We shall see.
-
The problem with firing Kavis now is that it's quite likely that Khari will have to go too. There would be very few GM's and even fewer good GM candidates that would consider the job if they were told that they'd have to keep the current head coach. Khari's tied to Kavis, whether he likes it or not.

Ummm, all penalties are retroactive.
-
Doling out extra punishment for a guy who had demonstrated repeatedly a blatant disrespect for the rules and the safety of other players? Yea. Actually Zontar, you really should probably just leave this alone because you're coming off as a total horse's ass. Stand up for your team, but not for a **** move like this one. edit: sorry, was thinking of Kyries Hebert as the repeat offender. My bad.
-
Ummm actually, those are flatbillies dragging a player to Regina. "Tomatoe-tomahto"
-
You mean Patrick Neufeld, the guy that played all 18 games in 2018 and 2017? That guy?

It's pretty clear to me that us cheap Bomber fans will always love a good Sayles

However, I will point out two things: Firstly, if a person has been cleared by medical staff, and fully understands the risks involved, then if he wishes to play and someone wants him to play, why should he not play? And secondly, I'm sure there are ways to blow one's nose that can minimize the risk of concussion. For example, don't bang your head on the desk while doing it, or if you absolutely must bang your head on the desk while blowing your nose, wear approved head gear. It's all about blowing smart!

This. With the way that pre-season is done now, there's really no way that we should expect that this will look pretty. This is pre-season game three, except that it counts in the standings. I fully expect it to look like that. My only concern is that while having a bye week in week 2 allows some of our nicked up players a bit of time to heal, it also means that we'll be a week behind in working the kinks/rust out.
