All charges in the Criminal Code are, by definition, criminal offences. Those are broken down into lesser - Summary and greater - Indictable. This is a hybrid charge in that the crown has the option of proceeding either summarily or by indictment.

255 (1) Everyone who commits an offence under subsection 253(1), paragraph 253(3)(a) or (c) or section 254 is guilty of an indictable offence or an offence punishable on summary conviction and is liable, (a) whether the offence is prosecuted by indictment or punishable on summary conviction, to the following minimum punishment, namely, (i) for a first offence, to a fine of not less than $1,000, (ii) for a second offence, to imprisonment for not less than 30 days, and (iii) for each subsequent offence, to imprisonment for not less than 120 days; (b) where the offence is prosecuted by indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; and (c) if the offence is punishable on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term of not more than 18 months.

I think that when talking about O linemen specifically, you do have a max number that you can effectively roster. Depending on who we re-sign before the draft, looking at yet more Oline guys might not be a good plan.

Sitting back, knowing that you've put the other side into a position where they are going to have to take chances, and then waiting to exploit those, is not in my opinion, laying back. It can be just he opposite. Why press the issue when the best thing that you can do at that point is ball control and pin them as deep as possible every time they get the ball back. Iwould have loved to see us win 62 - 0, but at the same time, watching them stall over and over was fun too. Sort of like playing with your food.

Speaking for myself only of course, I find the "discussion" on this board rapidly going downhill, primarily because of a few posters who really feel the need to bad mouth the team generally and specific players with the apparent motive of eliciting as much reaction as possible. Sure hope that Rich and the mods don't let this go on for too much longer. Ignore is a great feature, but it doesn't replace culling when necessary. Would be a shame to see this place deteriorate much more. It's going to get real ugly in here if the Bombers make an early exit in the playoffs.
