  1. Personally, I was bloody terrified and disappointed because I thought that Wade had gone the quick and easy route in hiring the guy that worked down the hall, and when that rookie GM hired a rookie HC, I thought "Two rookies in critical jobs, what could possibly go wrong?". Well, I was wrong. Right people, right place, right time. Go Bombers!
  2. Cool beans. Must suck for the guys we already have though...
  3. Or... "Hey, let's bring him back for another look. Can't hurt"
  4. So, if they bring in someone, the only explanation can be that they're not happy with the ones they already have?
  5. Why would you wish ill on anyone? I hope he does ok, except when he plays us of course. Then I want him to wake up screaming "BIGHILL!" the morning after
  6. Ummm, preseason really doesn't matter. It's about figuring out who you have and what they can do. The score is secondary and no one remembers the preseason. Sure, winning is nice, but if they need to focus on other things and that makes us better when the season starts, I'll go 0-2.
  7. If Durant retiring allows us to be able to sign Bighill, then all I can say to Durant is "Thank you, you magnificent douchecanoe!"
  8. I truly hope that isn't the case and that he's just a trollish poster who likes to show up from time to time and stir things up, because if it's true, then he's even a more pathetic figure than I ever could have imagined.
  9. Don't really care where he is now, just so long as he never comes anywhere near this team again. My two favorite pictures from the Kelly era: the mug shot and the pic of him hauling his stuff out of the stadium in a bin. I only wish I could find that pic.
  10. It breaks my heart to see a discussion on which of our QB's was the worst, and then have so many examples to discuss. Dang...
  11. Except for the hook slide stuff.
  12. Are you suggesting that you're going to become an Athletic supporter?
  13. I guess you and I look at "career" differently. C'Est la Vie.
  14. Are you being deliberately obtuse? Because I weep for you if you're not.
  15. Ummm, that's easy. You need a mommy fan and a daddy fan that love each other very much...
  16. Personally, if I were Walters, I'd be calling the league and saying that whatever we spend on salaries this year, we expect that we'll be forgiven 70k of it. It's not a team's fault that they might have to pay a douchecanoe tax, and there should be some way of making that right. In golf you have a mulligan, in the CFL call it a Durant. Everyone (except the Riders) gets one Durant.
  17. True, but maybe he values other things over said career. Again, sometimes doing the right thing is costly.
  18. Or... he acted on something that he believes is important, and accepted that there might be consequences as a result. Believe it or not, some people actually would rather do what they think is right, even if it costs them personally. We need more of those people.
  19. Ya, I've posted about a half dozen things on his website, 10 minutes was a long time for the post to stick aound. I posted once under the name "Mr. 70K". That one was gone in seconds!
  20. I am proud to announce that after posting my very reasonable observations on his twitter feed, captain douchecanoe blocked me!
  21. Welcome to the family Bud. Looking forward to hearing more from you!
  22. I doubt very much that this was a "Sorry, but I just changed my mind and I'm going to retire" moment. To me, this was very clearly an "I'm not playing backup to anyone but I'm going to get something out of this before I walk away" scheme. Sadly, even though he signed the contract in bad faith, there's really no way of proving it. I really hope that the league looks at doing something about this, like if they won't go after the player, the very least they can do is return the value of the bonus money amount to the cap. Unless it happens to the Riders because "f them".
  23. They might trade, but likely not to a western team and only to an eastern team who wants him dearly and is prepared to pay. I'm thinking that his antics have pretty much ensured that he's done.
  24. Pretty hard when the Bombers hold his rights
