So, you want to defend Durant's "Richard"-move by saying that this is done to players, but then say that you didn't say that either the Bombers or Walters does this. Thanks for clearing that up.
-
Really? Care to demonstrate how the Bombers "usually" do this?
-
Yes because that's why you wouldn't give the team a call and say that...
-
Well, if nothing else, you now know what he brings... sfa

It would depend on the contract, but I'd think the idea is that the money is payed for signing AND honoring the contract. I'd imagine it would be different if between signing the contract and now there was some sort of unforeseen circumstance that made him have to rethink his future, but there doesn't seem to be any indication of that. I'm hoping that the Bombers do pursue this is court and force him to give up that money one way or another, either to the Bombers or to his lawyer.

I'm baffled as to why we continual have to put up with this asshat. He should have been kicked to the curb a long time ago.

I'd like to have customizable sounds. For instance, this sound would announce posts from a very select group:

Obvious troll is painfully obvious

I think that this is the most powerful reason to like what Walters did.

And a spot (at least) for a backup, and for people who are likely penciled in as special teamers. But ya, six picks for one spot...
-
Wow, it's almost like they knew something that we didn't. Funny how that works.

Been saving it up for a few months now. It's got to feel good to be back at it.

Seriously? You have no idea???

It costs money to sign a first rounder. They don't play for free and so you better be getting the most bang for your buck, and you don't get that by drafting in a position where you already believe you have plenty of depth and then paying first rounder bucks for the privilege .
-
I'm a bit lost with your assumption that I'm outraged. Just for future reference, someone can disagree with you and not be upset at all. I'm actually kind of confused. If the Bombers coaches and managers are ok with our current depth at O line, why in the world would drafting another one in the first round be helpful. You actually can have too much depth at a certain position. It would be a waste of developmental time and money to draft someone if they already believe that their o line depth is good. I also recognize that this is Walters speaking to the press, so I take everything he says about his thoughts about the draft with a huge grain of salt.
-
So, you're thinking that Spooner and Speller are question marks and this can be best solved by drafting an O lineman with absolutely no pro experience, development or familiarity with our system? Ok then.

It's quiet... Too quiet...

Bombers Post $5.1M Operating Profit in 2017

That's what we call "cost recovery". They pay the actual costs involved but the price is not designed to make the Bombers a profit. -

I would expect that if minor football pays, it will be "cost recovery" and not much more. -
Actually, you can. It's about quality not quantity.

And whatever you do, don't tell them that Glenn Frey died. The flatbillies are just discovering the joys of Hotel California right now. -

So the saga is done until early 2019 when Montreal cuts him because they can't afford him.

May light perpetual shine upon them and may their family and friends be comforted.

Yes, OShea and Walters are just hanging on by a thread right now. 12-6 is just not good enough. Either they win it all or else...
