  1. The best chance? Again, did you not see him play last year. He is well past his "best before date" and he is a year farther from that now. Every single team in the league knows Glenn and knows how to beat him. I'm not convinced that he would be "the best chance" of anything beyond heart break. If he was our backup and Nichols went down, we'd be hooped, especially in games that really count. No thanks. Let him be Edmonton's "quality backup".
  2. With all this talk about Glenn as a quality backup, I have to ask, didn't anyone here actually watch his play last year? Because I did and I don't think that he offers very much. His patented quick pass to the corner back for 6 will lose just as many games (if not more) that he'll win. His days as a quality starter are long over and now, so are his days as a quality backup.
  3. And the Egyptians used to be really good at building big stone things. Times change.
  4. The question I have is this: Is the Fever really that good at short yardage or is it the improved O line making Fever look like he's really good at short yardage?
  5. Seeing the words "Glenn" and "GC run" for some reason remind me of the phrase "military intelligence".

  7. I guess that "regressed" has a different meaning in Toronto because I'm not seeing it here: Year Team Games Started Comp Att Pct Yards TD Int Rating 2013 TOR 18 8 190 287 66.2 2,316 14 6 98.4 2014 HAM 13 13 279 424 65.8 3,261 15 9 91.9 2015 HAM 12 12 252 359 70.2 3,376 25 7 113.7 2016 HAM 10 10 232 347 66.9 2,938 18 8 100.8 In 2014, with a brand new system he puts up similar numbers to the year before. In 2015 before the injury, his numbers are markedly better. In 2016, after the injury, his number decline but are still a bit better than 2013. That doesn't sound like regression. Sounds more like sour grapes from a jilted fan
  8. I don't pretend to have your inside knowledge on the mindset of the entire Maritimes in general or Halifax specifically.
  9. Why would Halifax have already built a 25,000 seat stadium? For what purpose? You don't build stadiums on spec. If there's a real desire to have the CFL in Halifax, a stadium is only 3 years or so away.
  10. Really thought Kevin Costner was going to turn them around with his aggressive dealing on draft day. Oh well.
  11. Of course you can only imagine. It hasn't happened yet.
  12. While past performance is not indicative of future results, Bellefeuille was let go in November, Etch in December and Tracy during the season. I'm thinking that if Hall was going, he be gone by now. The only way that this isn't the case might be if they're chasing someone in the states who's season isn't over. I'd bet fairly good money that Hall's back, and this time... it's personal.
  13. Lol, He's a brave man. Not terribly smart, but brave.
  14. Ummm, same place that all the other money comes from: http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/visit-the-mint/visit-the-mint-1200026#.Wkfbfd-nGMo
  15. Odds are, he won't get it.
  16. Even if that is all true, the GM would be an idiot to meddle. You hire a HC to be the HC. If you don't trust him to do what's right for the team, you don't overide him, you fire him.
  17. If the GM is good at what he does, he lets the HC be the HC. If he's a bonehead, he steps in and mettles. I think Walters is a little too smart to do that. If O'Shea really believes that Hall is the best option, then the HC should have who the HC wants. Everyone involved knows that more is required this coming year. If O'Shea wants to roll with Hall, he knows what happens if things don't work out.
  18. If the GM or president has to step in and make decisions for the HC, then its not just Hall that needs to go. If O'Shea has convinced the brass that he thinks Hall can turn it around, then so be it. All he's risking is his employment

  20. A blessed and peaceful Christmas to you and yours!
  21. I agree. Have it as two separate leagues. We play for the Grey Cup and the winner of the GC ignores them and our season ends. After a year or two, their league folds.
  22. Ok, I have to admit, that was darned funny!
  23. Actually, no. I have no doubt that Dressler is not "doing a Trump". I really doubt that he's that sort of person whatsoever. I'm simply lamenting the fact that simple humanity is now a seen by some (like Madani) to be a point of celebration. Feel free to bash away.
  24. Actually, having a picture published describing what you are doing as "an incredible move" is exactly what someone like Donald would do. Different generations, different understandings I guess.
