  1. Because clearly, somebody has to.
  2. Yes, they fluked out a win because we're the better team, played like crap and they managed to beat us by a single point. So, yea, fluke. Nice try with the whataboutism though. You also realize that we will be having a training camp, right? The roster is not finalized yet, so maybe stow the hand wringing until the end of June.
  3. God, we're just standing still while the Argos keep getting better and better...
  4. Ya, ok. A 15-3 team signs a bunch of the very people that made it a 15-3 team and that's a bad thing. A team that beat itself in the Grey Cup is now somehow worse than a 11-7 team that fluked out a GC win. Thanks for your opinion...
  5. When we beat ourselves in the Grey Cup, I was disappointed that there wouldn't be a three-peat. The other downside to losing to Toronto is having a certain poster here, posting incessantly, who we never see when the Argos are in the basement. Oh well, hopefully, things will straighten out in the coming year.
  6. I would have to think that if an agreement in principle announcement is made, it means that the back and forth negotiations have taken place and the idea that this will "parlay" a larger offer from the other team is crazy. A team isn't going to announce to its fans that they have reached an agreement with a player if that player can then simply return to their original team. It may be theoretically possible but it's not going to be something that happens very often because the whole exercise would become pointless.
  7. I doubt that Evans would fit in our salary structure, but I think that if he could get his head straightened out, working under Collaros and O'Shea and the FIFO system would be the place it would happen. Oh and by the way, just popped over to Riderfans. Apparently, everything is going to be just fine.
  8. I agree about O'Shea. My point was that if Eli ends up showing that he's a starter in TC, then O'Shea will play him because that's the point about him, he doesn't seem to play stupid politics or mind games. With him, the guy who gives the best chance to win will play, period.
  9. I almost spit out my coffee at that one. Do you seriously think that O'Shea would ever play games like that? "Eli, I know you're a starter but I'm afraid that we might make some of the boys angry at me if I play you. They'd much rather see us lose 'cause that would sure show you a thing or two. And you Lawler, you got a lot of nerve signing with someone else last year So the both of you have a seat on the bench."
  10. Cut him some slack, Pulp Fiction only comes on after his bedtime.
  11. Of course if the Bombers cut Deuce, the headline writes itself.
  12. It's in his contract with Morning Big Blue...
  13. Taking away a home game from the Argos will dissapoint 10's of people though. Having said that, if it hurts Toronto's bottom line, the western teams will step up again and bail them out. The Argo way...
  14. In fairness, he said he wanted to be an OC in the worst way - wish granted.
  15. 2023 schedule has been released: https://www.cfl.ca/2023-cfl-schedule/
  16. they sure love yanking the collective chains of the bloggers/media
  17. well, if he had signed a new contract in 2022, then coming off an MVP season would mean 2021 unless he hadn't played that year. English is hard, but it's not that hard...
  18. If Kyle Walters had your insight and expertise he might have been a sucessful GM...
  19. "9 months ago I signed as one of the highest paid RBs in the game coming off a MVP season" would suggest that yes, he's talking about 2021
  20. I will point out that Boston Pizza is ranked as one of the top 5 restaurants in Virden.
  21. Virden doesn't, actually. Brandon does. Virden has Chicken Chef, which is miles better than Popeyes. A few years ago, Virden finally got a Boston Pizza. Heady days, those were...
  22. At least he didn't miss a convert.
  23. Except that Collaros isn't paid to "gut it out". He's paid to perform. Maybe he was having an off day. It happens. But if he was unable to perform because he was injured and didn't say anything, how is that any different than Maver.
