We pick 1 and 6 right now. I really don't see why we would trade down unless we acquired an additional pick. Even then, I can't see how we don't benefit from having the first pick overall. I remember all those years of not having a first round pick, and now we have two of them including the first overall. It doesn't get better than that.

What you have here is a solution looking for a problem. If the CFL was as concerned as you clearly are, adjustments to the rules would happen.

Really don't see this as a huge problem. He can grab every player off of every practice roster in the league, but he can't keep them all. Well, yes, I know that he has the safe houses in Regina that he can stash people away in but eventually one or two will escape and if they have any sense of honour, they'll bring back the authorities to free the others. I'm just trying to imagine how terrifying "It rubs the lotion on its skin..." sounds like with a southern drawl.

I think that your rant has been disassembled quite nicely by several posters already, but I did want to post my thoughts on this particular statement because it is total BS. His stock dropping is not a mystery at all. Every single team passed him up at least once, several passed him up twice. Each team knew exactly why they were doing it. A guy that was rated 8th overall (#1 receiver) in the last scouting bureau report was drafted 18th (4th receiver). That happened for a reason. Maybe it was possible NFL interest, maybe attitude, maybe both, but to suggest that "it's a mystery" is plain silly. Just because the GM's (or the league) won't comment on it publicly doesn't mean that there wasn't a certain level of consensus about him. Look, I don't know who you are and frankly, I don't really care, but I do know a spin job when I see one and that is exactly was your rant was. If you want to post here beyond that, please give your posts a bit more thought because, as you've noticed, if you don't, lots of us here will.

I've been in the Bomber store and bumped into Miller. I was impressed that he talked with me for some time. Nice to see him take the time when he could have shaken my hand and quickly moved along. It's doing the little things right that goes a long way.
