  1. So, according to your logic, every year, eight teams are wrong and one team is right. So Calgary was wrong in 2016. Wow, it would be nice to be that wrong that often.
  2. My prediction is that we make a few signings and when they are announced most here will say "good signing" and a couple will say "worst signing ever".
  3. Never trust a guy that is the face of an team but won't wear their colours. I know, it's green, but still...
  4. Kevin's got to be pleased that despite all his years in the league, he doesn't have to worry about a Grey Cup ring throwing off his motion.
  5. Sure thing. Next time it pops up, I'll get the info and pass it on.
  6. The ad for this pops onto my Facebook feed every day or so.
  7. Oh, my vocabulary works just fine. I guess I'm just not as easy to impress as some. Takes more than one play for me to put someone in the "flash" category.
  8. A return TD is a good thing of course, but in and of itself it's not really what I'd call flash. More like, "might be something there".
  9. Say what you will, but you have to love someone who will put forth an opinion and facts be damned... or maybe he's providing alternative facts. I hear tell that's all the rage now.
  10. Hey, that's not being very nice to our banjo picking, cousin kissing friends to the west. Think about it, 4 cups in how many seasons? Rider fans thrive on participation medals. They've got more of them than anyone!
  11. Come on guys, seriously? Do you actually expect a Riders fan to know the rules AND count to 7 at the same time? He's only off by one. Give him some credit for at least getting close.
  12. I understand that the houses are being prepared for the 40 or so "tourists" as we speak. Shhh, grownups, with teeth and not related to their spouses are talking.
  13. If you're suggesting that going from Durant to Glenn is a lateral move, well let's just say... on second thought, no, I better not say.
  14. I tend to agree that by signing Davis first, they gave a pretty clear signal as to their thoughts moving forward. You don't sign a Kevin Glenn to be your 3rd stringer. You sign someone you want to develop for that slot. It looks like Davis will be the #2 moving forward. Personally, I'm not too concerned moving forward because we know what Glenn brings to the table and given his age, I'm not convinced that we'd be any better with him at the helm over Davis should Nichols go down, and yes, I realize that we haven't seen much of Davis.
  15. I too prefer the game day thread over chat. I don't have time to sit in the chat room very long, so I miss out on a lot of you guys' thoughts. The thread allows me to pop in from time to time and catch up. Someone else has likely suggested this (can't read the whole thread right now) but there are free chat sites out there and someone could set up a room and post it in the game day thread. That way, those that want to chat can, without Rich having to worry about it.
  16. He's also isn't gone, which is a real shame.
  17. Then let's just say that your definition of good is somewhat different than mine. Kevin Glenn would be ok, maybe, for a game or three, but if you're going to rely on him to keep a season alive long term and perform in the playoffs, prepare to be disappointed.
  18. Every team suffers if they lose their first string QB. There's a reason he's first string, you know. It's usually because he's better than the other QB's, or his dad owns the team. So you can expect a drop off anytime you lose a starter. And speaking of not throwing the game away, do you really think that Kevin "I'll throw it to the wide side... oh crap" Glenn is a good plan?
  19. If a fan of another team wants to come on here and engage in intelligent discussions, I'm all for that. We do have a few that do. Kluchk does not do this. He shows up when he's decided that we're being mean to the Riders (imagine that, on a Bomber Board. Who'da thunk it) and whines that we're meanies. Then he let's us have it with that 26 years and no cup zinger that just hurts us all so bad, even though we've heard it like 13 times (or was it 12, numbers are hard ya know). Again, if he trolled with some style, if he was at all entertaining, it would be fine. Alas though, it is not. His writing is bland, without colour or texture. He's a troll. but worse, he's a boring troll. Ain't nothing worse than a boring troll. Now having said all that, I will give him credit. Most of the time, he writes in complete sentences. And being from Saskatchewan and having that level of education, I'm thinking that we're dealing with Brad Wall, or first banjo of the Regina Symphony. Either way, Regina royalty!
  20. If he was in the least bit entertaining, that would be one thing, but seeing that he's not even that, is there some reason that we don't punt this Kluchk troll to the curb?
  21. Elite money as of 2015. We're moving pretty fast here, try and keep up.
  22. Glenn might win you a few games, but then again, he might just lose you a few too. And as a playoff QB, well, I'm thinking we have every bit as good a chance of winning a playoff game with Davis starting as we would with Glenn.
