  1. I too prefer the game day thread over chat. I don't have time to sit in the chat room very long, so I miss out on a lot of you guys' thoughts. The thread allows me to pop in from time to time and catch up. Someone else has likely suggested this (can't read the whole thread right now) but there are free chat sites out there and someone could set up a room and post it in the game day thread. That way, those that want to chat can, without Rich having to worry about it.
  2. He's also isn't gone, which is a real shame.
  3. Then let's just say that your definition of good is somewhat different than mine. Kevin Glenn would be ok, maybe, for a game or three, but if you're going to rely on him to keep a season alive long term and perform in the playoffs, prepare to be disappointed.
  4. Every team suffers if they lose their first string QB. There's a reason he's first string, you know. It's usually because he's better than the other QB's, or his dad owns the team. So you can expect a drop off anytime you lose a starter. And speaking of not throwing the game away, do you really think that Kevin "I'll throw it to the wide side... oh crap" Glenn is a good plan?
  5. If a fan of another team wants to come on here and engage in intelligent discussions, I'm all for that. We do have a few that do. Kluchk does not do this. He shows up when he's decided that we're being mean to the Riders (imagine that, on a Bomber Board. Who'da thunk it) and whines that we're meanies. Then he let's us have it with that 26 years and no cup zinger that just hurts us all so bad, even though we've heard it like 13 times (or was it 12, numbers are hard ya know). Again, if he trolled with some style, if he was at all entertaining, it would be fine. Alas though, it is not. His writing is bland, without colour or texture. He's a troll. but worse, he's a boring troll. Ain't nothing worse than a boring troll. Now having said all that, I will give him credit. Most of the time, he writes in complete sentences. And being from Saskatchewan and having that level of education, I'm thinking that we're dealing with Brad Wall, or first banjo of the Regina Symphony. Either way, Regina royalty!
  6. If he was in the least bit entertaining, that would be one thing, but seeing that he's not even that, is there some reason that we don't punt this Kluchk troll to the curb?
  7. Elite money as of 2015. We're moving pretty fast here, try and keep up.
  8. Glenn might win you a few games, but then again, he might just lose you a few too. And as a playoff QB, well, I'm thinking we have every bit as good a chance of winning a playoff game with Davis starting as we would with Glenn.
  9. You've been wrong before Mr. Explosive, but hey, don't let that stop you from prognosticating.
  10. You mean this guy???
  11. Hey, if you want us to do the math, don't give us the answer. Jeez...
  12. But... but... but.. the NFL does it.. the NFL!!!
  13. You really seem to like the way the NFL does things. And this will become relevant as soon as the Bombers join the NFL, until then...
  14. That's ok. I'm sure that explosive diarrhea doesn't understand what all the fuss is about either.
  15. That's like asking "What's wrong with explosive diarrhea?" Once you've experienced it, you know.
  16. Hey guys, losing Wylie sucks but keep your chin up and remember that no matter what, at least we're not Rider fans.
  17. Ummm, draft picks might give you a clue.
  18. For me, there is a very straightforward answer to "The NFL does it." Want to guess what it is?
  19. Sorry but no, they didn't just trade for his rights. Officially, yes, but in reality, if you believe that the trade simply represents obtaining his rights in order to try and see if they could reach a deal on a new contract, then see my earlier post. They traded because they had a pretty darned good idea they could sign him **cough**negotiations**cough. The value represents the fact that they were prepared to throw Jones a bone and get to Durant early. Montreal could have just as easily waited a month, but then they might have had to bid a bit more in order to get him. If Jones had not made it clear that Durant was not coming back, he might have gotten something closer to what Durant's real trade worth was, but "the smartest guy in the room" messed that up.
  20. If Nichols had been with pretty much any other CFL team (but especially a team at 1-4) come in off the bench and complied a 10-3 season, and then be a potential free agent, there would be certain people here who would be clamoring for the Bombers to go after him. But since he did it with the Bombers, it doesn't count. Some Bomber fans... they want what what they don't have, right until they get it.
  21. If you believe that Montreal traded for Durant's "rights" without having any idea of whether they would be able to sign him, then you'll probably also believe that Chris Jones is a "part time travel agent specializing in spring tours of Regina to large groups of young American gentlemen that has absolutely nothing to do with football whatsoever".
  22. Actually, what I would do is have all teams play against each other for a set number of games, say, oh... 18 or so. Then compare records of all the teams. Those at the bottom get eliminated, while the ones with the best records progress onto some sort of "mini-season" in order to determine the league champion. That way, you end up with the stronger teams playing the stronger teams. I could really see something like this working well.
  23. Challenges - unlimited 1st wrong one costs a time out. 2nd and subsequent delay of game. Review official can take a maximum of 30 seconds to overturn, otherwise the call on the field stands.
  24. With Kevin at the helm, they'll make a splash alright.
  25. Mr. Leg, please don't let facts get in the way of a good rant. It's all some people have.
