  1. Well, as it turns out, once the books are audited, they won't have a 1st rounder available until 2019, so if they want to trade that away, more power to them. And I'm betting that every other GM in the league knows their situation too, so that will make trying to trade off the 2018 1st rounder a bit more challenging.
  2. As I understand it, they lose the next available first round pick, so by trading away the 2017 1st rounder, all they've done is pushed this back to 2018.
  3. I'm pretty sure that if BLM was handed the HC job he'd probably point out two things: 1 - He's not a coach, so his learning curve hasn't even started yet. 2 - Even if he wanted to be HC, right now he's kinda busy being Calgary's starting QB Dang, looks like you made a mistake.
  4. Ok, let's play the conjecture game. What do you think would have happened if Dickenson had been the HC for the Bombers in 2014 and had been hit with the same level of injuries to the offence as he's had this year in Calgary? Given the overall depth level of the 2014 Bombers vs the 2016 Stampeders, I'm conjecting that he wouldn't be looking like some sort of boy genius coach. I'm betting he'd look a lot like a scrawnyer version of 2014 O'Shea. Hey this conjecture stuff is easy!
  5. Dickenson might have if he was told "This is the guy you're getting as your starter QB, unless you want Max hall instead." As for pulling Willy, yes I agree that it did appear that sometimes it might have been better to let Willy sit, but that might be a bit of the rookie coming out in O'Shea. That and the fact that if you pulled Willy, you end up putting in Brian Brohm, which would give any sane HC pause. And it's easy to say "Dickenson would have made our O-line better" but you have absolutely no way of knowing that, and let's face it, you've been wrong before. As for coordinators, I too was not at all happy with them, but rather than focusing on how bad we were, I'd rather look forward and appreciate that we really seem to have turned a corner. Also, I'm not going to pretend that I'm so much smarter than the GM and HC just because I can use hindsight and they can't.
  6. From the Rider Fans site: The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have acquired Canadian defensive lineman Justin Capicciotti and American offensive lineman Xavier Fulton from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for national defensive tackle Linden Gaydosh, international receiver Tommy Streeter and a late round draft pick, per CFL sources.
  7. I think that the D line can look at the quarterback as much as they want and they can point to their hearts content.
  8. I'd be interested in one of them there t-shirts. If it has sleeves then I'll have another "fancy shirt"
  9. So does the CFL just count points generated by the offence or all points? Pretty sure it's the latter. As was said, if we generated 35+ points, that should be enough to win, providing that the D holds.
  10. I understand that WBBFanWest believes that speaking in the 4th person is the way to go.
  11. Heaven forbid that some people would actually consider that maybe, the reason the Bombers did better is because... wait for it... they actually played better. Na, far better to suggest that the other team "let up". Works better for the "we suck" agenda
  12. I saw the words " Noeller and 17 actually got blown" and stopped reading...
  13. Well, when a mommy and daddy bunny really love each other...
  14. In Riderland - fair to middling
  15. To me, it really doesn't matter if the kid had been decked out head to toe in Rider stuff. You leave kids alone. Have some fun with adult fans of rival teams, but let the little ones just be. I've high fived little rider fans, just because I think it's great that there might be another CFL fan growing up to support the league. And consider this, if the kid is decked out in Rider wear, isn't he already suffering enough?
  16. I've read in several places how Carter had the physical talent to be in the NFL, yet here he is, getting paid a small fraction of what he could be earning down south. If he has the physical skills, what's holding him back? (By the way, that's really a rhetorical question). He ain't coming here. Let it go.
  17. Seriously? Just about every other day there seems to be a story of him having issues with someone on the team. The bumping thing in Ottawa showed the level of intelligence and maturity this guy has. It's clear that this guy would be nothing but a huge distraction and I'm pretty confident that O'Shea would make it clear that he does not want this guy anywhere near the Bombers locker room.
  18. The saddest part of this whole thing is that while those idiots were abusing a little boy, it would appear that no one stepped up (except Rider fans) to defend him and his mom. “All that is necessary for the triumph of evilis that good men do nothing.” - Edmund Burke
  19. Just for future reference, most of us here use English routinely, so to paraphrase Donald Trump, "We have the best words". We also have access to this: http://www.dictionary.com/
  20. I liked the part when O'Shea turned to the crowd and said "What shall I do then with Drew, which is called Willy? and they shouted "Crucify him!" Seriously, you sure love the drama...
  21. Ummm, that's the Regina Symphony Orchestra. You're mocking the pinnacle of Saskatchewan class and culture
  22. Or... maybe people started playing better because they had confidence in Nichols and had lost confidence in Drew. You're right, it's never a everything or nothing on the qb, but I think you're underestimating just how bad Willy was playing. The team (o-line, d, special teams) seems to be playing with a heart and a grit that was missing earlier in the season. Did everyone suddenly get better or did a change in qb help spark it all. My guess is that it was a little of the former and a whole lot more of the latter.
  23. One man's reasons are another man's excuses. For example: Willy never got to play with this o-line so we don't know how good he could have been. Seems reasonable on the face of it until you factor in that if you hang on to the ball as long as Willy did, no o line will ever be good enough. And if all you're prepared to do is throw check down passes because you lack the confidence to do anything else, that's not on anyone else. Drew might yet turn out to be a good qb, but if he does, it's not because the o-line got fixed, it's because his head was.
  24. And at the same time, there are those who want to try and find excuses for a qb's bad play.
