  1. Finally, someone that understands basic math! Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity,
  2. So you guys are going to have to explain something to me because I've never been to an Argo game (just like 99.9995% of all Torontonians). Does each person going to the game have to drive a 100+ vehicles there? because from the looks of the stands at an average game, I don't see how a huge volume of traffic can be generated from the dozens of people in attendance. Or are you guys including all the traffic generated from people doing anything else but going to an Argo game (which, of course, means pretty much all the traffic in Toronto)? Please help me understand this paradox?
  3. Doesn't protect the "supporters" though. Can't just hire Americans just because you feel like it.
  4. It breaks my heart to hear of all the turmoil in Rider land. Honest, I'm all torn up. Really. I kid you not.
  5. I was referring only to the traffic in and around the stadium onto Pembina. Because Toronto is the center of the universe, I expect that it's gravitation pull sucks in a lot of cars and that would most definitely interfere with the few people trying to get to and from the Argo's game. I've been there many times, and I can indeed confirm the suck that is Toronto.
  6. Yes cause we have no experience storms here. And just a hunch, but I'm betting there's a lot more traffic to and from a Bomber game than from an Argo game.
  7. Dang, hope the weather clears up. This could affect ten's of people.
  8. Pretty sure that most, if not all but BLM's team, do this
  9. I wouldn't be so sure about that.
  10. 1 - 55 yard line 20 rows up 2 - It's in Toronto so count on at least a dozen others. 3 - Check with the team. To help fill the stands they usually do a "Name an Argo and get a free ticket" deal.
  11. Mike after the tenth time trying to explain...
  12. He should probably see if Ottawa would have any interest in him. That way, Burris could take him under his wing an show him how a master whiner does things. Whiny tweets are strictly for teenagers.
  13. And I'm betting that the coaches have taken this into consideration already. I find this talk of getting rid of Willy to be bizarre. Unless things really become strange, he's here until the end of the season.
  14. Here's the deal as I see it. Pro football is about winning NOW. So cutting Willy is not something that the Bombers are going to do this year. If the object of the game was to get through the year with as much money leftover in the back as possible, then I'd agree with Mr. Burgess. But seeing as the point is not saving money, but winning, I'm betting that they feel that Willy gives them a better chance of that than Davis does at the present time. Will Willy bounce back and regain the form he seemed to have before? Maybe, maybe not. But if Nichols goes down, he's going to be the guy who's next up. If that happens and he still struggles and Davis gets the call, then getting rid of him does make a bit more sense, but not until then. Ya, it might cost us more money but this is not about saving money, it's about winning games. That being the case, cutting Willy would not only be stupid, but monstrously stupid.
  15. There's thinking you're the best and then there's thinking you're the best and whining about how mean people are to you because they won't stroke your ego. Burris has always been a whiner.
  16. Actually, I find Ripper to be one of the more reasonable Rider fans that have come to this forum from time to time. I'd take him over a few so-called Bomber fans in fact.
  17. Yes I did. However, that was a different game. The question is not "what could they have done" but "what did they do". The Bombers kept a lid on them for the entire 2nd half so yes, the Bombers were quite aware of what the Tiger Cats had done the game before and had a counter for it. And no, they were most definitely not "in it" They were able to move the ball some, but they couldn't score. That's sort of the point, isn't it? If you don't score then all you're doing by moving the ball is grinding down the clock. It's almost like the Bombers had film on what the Tiger Cats had done and knew what to expect. Either that, or they were just really really lucky.
  18. Killing blow? That happened about three and a half minutes into the 1st quarter when we went up 14 - 0. They scored 11 points in the whole game, so we actually had a bunch of killing blows because we scored a whole bunch more than 14. Listen, yes, scoring more points in the 2nd half would have been nice, but here's the thing - we didn't need to. We held them in check for the whole game and that's not luck. Last time I checked, the idea is to score more points than your opponent and it really doesn't matter at what point of the game you get them. We did that. If we had ended up winning the game 37-35 or something similar, where they mounted a 2nd half comeback and almost beat us, your argument might have some validity, but that's not how it went down. And yes, we need to work more on or run game, and maybe get better execution on the deep ball, but I suspect that compared with earlier this year, there are few teams left that see us as the free space on the bingo card.
  19. Henry Burris complaining about something? That's about as likely as a Rider fan coming here and complaining thatwe're a bunch of meanies.
  20. Rider fan comes to a Bomber forum, finds people making fun of the Riders and their fans and gets outraged. Colour me shocked. PS - Riders suck
  21. Of course luck plays a part in the outcome of most games. No team is so dominant that they can outscore another team 30+ to zero in one half simply on skill alone. But that's a far cry from what you're saying. You talk about being objective and realistic. Here's some objective realism for you you to chew on. We beat them. We beat them bad. They were never in the game at all. They never mounted any sort of comeback like they did the game before. Now, you can say that it was all luck or mostly luck, but I was there and what I saw was one team taking it to another big time. Even in the second half, the Tiger Cats were ineffective. Sure they moved the ball, but they didn't score much at all. Funny thing is, when we moved the ball in the final quarter of games earlier in the year, lots of people were saying that moving the ball in garbage time proves nothing. So I guess that must mean that what Hamilton did, they did during garbage time, so it doesn't really count for much. Are we prefect yet? Not even close, but we're better than we were. Our depth looks better than most of us thought and the team seems to be ready to fight a lot harder now than they did. So you can go with the "We're just lucky when we win" crap but please, don't pretend you're being objective, cause you ain't.
  22. And we should all feel humbled and grateful that for a while, GBill graced us with his presence. Truly, it was a magical time. By the way, my sources are telling me that there will definitely be some roster changes for the Bombers this off season. Stay tuned for more hard hitting insider stuff.
  23. Not sure who this Avro Lancaster fellow is, but I'll let you in on a little secret - I'm really De Havilland Mosquito.
  24. We'll, I'm open to suggestions. For instance, I'm a fan of 1940's aircraft...
  25. Classic Bomber "fan" comment there, classic...
