  1. Enough talk about Popp and the Als. Can we please focus on important stuff like how much the Riders suck?
  2. Unless it doesn't
  3. And as far as you know, White Out, we're laughing with you, not at you.
  4. Having been at the game, it was pretty clear to me that early in the 3rd, the team changed from attack mode into manage mode. In my view this has little to do with "killer instinct". It was simply "they're having trouble scoring so let's burn up the clock on O and make them grind hard when they have the ball." And you know what? It seems to have worked out pretty well. They gave Hamilton a grand total of 11 points in the second half. And that's 11 points when Hamilton would have been in full out "gotta get points" mode. So as far as I'm concerned, it was a smart call. And here's something else to consider. A win is a win. Doesn't matter if you blow out your opponent or you win on the last play of the game. You still get the same 2 points. So if anyone was expecting that the team would come out and try and score another 30+ points in the second half, give your head a shake. They were going to play smart, burn up the clock and force Hamilton to play that 2nd half desperation game that we've had to play so often in the past. Lastly, does it really matter if the D contributed more than the O? Again, I don't care if we win because we've kicked 30 singles, or if the D gives us 5 TD and the O none. As long as we find ways to win, I could care less how. In fact, in my experience, that's often what separates good teams from the also rans. A good team finds ways to win. So maybe some people should stop worrying so much that the O didn't score enough in the second half, or that the D gave up too many yards. The simple fact is we won, and the outcome was never in doubt So kudos to the Bombers. We won and that's all that matters.
  5. See you the game! I'll be the wet looking one.
  6. The thing I'm still scratching my head about is Cory Watson. I saw a play where he collided with one of his own teammates and got knocked off his feet. When he was with the Bombers a hit like that would have put him in intensive care for a month and then out for the rest of the season. Heck, just brushing against someone would put him on the 6 game list. He seems to have increased his hit points to more than 1. Must have finally leveled up.
  7. I think it's very important for the Bombers to keep Green around. This way, they won't have to guess who's going to go out there and take a dumb penalty at the worst possible moment.
  8. Yes, Fogg has returned kicks but for the life of me I can't remember if it's kickoffs, punts or both.
  9. So you're saying that maybe, he's bad receiver, but you just aren't sure yet?
  10. Quick question: Do you catch passes differently depending on how much of the game is left?
  11. The words were English, yes, but it seems that they were filtered through this: http://thinkzone.wlonk.com/Gibber/GibGen.htm
  12. Peronally, I don't care if we win by kicking 30 rouges. A win is a win.
  13. Kuale, Brohm, Hurl, Picard and Bellefeuille say hi. Yes, I'm quite sure that keeping his job has never entered Mike O'Shea's mind once and it's just complete coincidence that after standing by Willy all this time, he suddenly decided NOW that maybe he might just change things up a bit at QB. I mean he had no reason to do this before right?. And yes, I'm also quite sure that even if none of the injuries to the secondary or Neufeld happened he would still have played the new guys anyway, because we all know the Mike O'Shea is all about being unpredictable when it comes to roster decisions.
  14. Before we pat the coaching staff on the back too much, let's remember that a lot of the changes were forced on them due to injuries or realizing "Gee, if I don't do something dramatic, and right now, I might be out of a job." All those guys that shone against Edmonton have been riding the pine while O'Shea did what he seems to do best, be stubborn.
  15. Every QB will throw a pass like that every now and then. Every QB will over/under throw from time to time. If you're looking for a QB that never makes a mistake, you're going to have to wait a long long time. The throw was off, the receiver went a got it. It's too bad he got hurt, but catching passes, even less than perfect ones is kinda what he's being paid to do, no?
  16. He plead guilty, was given an absolute discharge
  17. And for the severely dyslexic:
  18. The incident with the 16 year old was bad, no doubt about it but when it comes to him actually doing his job, what sets off huge alarm bells for me is the fact that this guy wants everyone to acknowledge just how smart and great he is. There was an interesting article by someone in the Edmonton media who wrote an arttice once Tillman was fired. The media guy alleges that Tillman would call him in the middle of the night to complain about something the reporter had written and how he (the reporter) had gotten it all wrong and should understand the genius that is Tillman. For me, this guy has some serious issues and while yes, he's had success, he's also spectacularly crashed and burned too. Pass.
  19. Never seen him before. Thanks for posting it
  20. Thanks for the suggestion, but when life gets me down I prefer to sing this:
  21. That's funny stuff there by garr. A guy says X, gets called for saying X responds that he didn't say X, has it pointed out clearly that, yes, you did indeed say X and then accuses the guy who pointed out that he really did say X of being someone who will twist people's words and a Trump surrogate. Almost Pythonesque. You sir, could be a republican candidate any time you're ready. If they ask for your qualifications, just email them a transcript of this thread and you'll be the next Sarah Palin.
  22. After reading your last few comments, I think we can safely remove option "a" from my earlier post.
  23. Don't completely agree with you J5V but I do love good dialogue with a humoristic twist at the end. Well done!
  24. It's timely that we're reminded of Coach Harris' passing right now. Kind of puts 1-4 into perspective. Somehow, it just doesn't seem as important as it did yesterday.
  25. No. you. didn't. say. that. at. all. What you initially said was: " If he's playing scared then a benching won't help him. He'll be finished." That's not a "some can come back from injuries" statement. That's a definitive statement: if Willy is scared, he's finished" No wiggle room there whatsoever. You make a boneheaded statement, period so quit trying to pretend you didn't say what you clearly did. You can back peddle all you want, or you can just say that you either a ) misspoke or b ) made a boneheaded statement that you'd now like to withdraw. Your call, go ahead and pick.
