  1. Ok, I'll bet Kaner is playing there before long!!!!!!!!!
  2. Yup, but pretty good low end....i wonder who the GM will be? Has that been announced?
  3. I honestly don't think Vegas would pay Enstrom what he is making when he becomes an UFA after one year of service. I see them taking Stu first because he will only cost 1.75m and the caphit is 2.625m and helps them hit the floor. It is 52.8m this year. I guess if I were Vegas and paying a half a billion dollars for a franchise, I'd want a half decent team too. They'll have a bunch of bottom end 2nd pairing D men and 2nd-3rd liners.
  4. Couldn't Connor's team be finished this weekend? Where'd you hear that about Morrissey? Last I heard it was day to day? Olsen can be played for Thorbs, Kosmo, Hali...what does it hurt? It helps the tank. Not sure where you get the Kostalek is my boy from but it might give players extra reason to make the team and you can "show them some love" with a bigger payday for 10 days. Much better way to "show them some love" than letting a player, that has never played on your team before, have a NMC...
  5. Yup, no use protecting Enstrom for one year.
  6. This off-season and upcoming season will be one of the more interesting for awhile. GMs will have to be on their toes once the rules get confirmed.
  7. I can't see many teams going for the 8 skaters. That is an extra D for 3 forwards.
  8. De Leo, Morrissey, Comrie, Kostalek, Olsen, Connor if he signs, Poolman if he signs? When does Lemieux's season end? I'd pick Connor, Poolman, Lemieux and Morrissey and De Leo if Lemieux is not available. Let them get a taste of the big team and a bigger payday for a couple of weeks. You always have emergency callups so if we have 12 games left, why not see what some youngsters can do?
  9. I saw Rich tried to explain this to you but obviously math isn't your strong point. The farther down the standings you finish, the better chance you have at picking higher int he draft. Not sure why you can't understand this. It is better for the Jets to lose tonight regardless of what it does to Chicago's pick. There's 4 teams within 3 points of us so it matters a LOT at the end of the season. It could very well be the difference between picking 2 or 3 picks down the standings. Basic math...
  10. Regardless of Chidago's pick. I think it is important to lose to night and make sure we finish as low as possible in the standings to give us the best odds on a high pick.
  11. I think Cormier will be in the AHL next year but not sure what team. Armia and Stu are about a week away and Ehlers just over a week...
  12. So, I ask again, Why would the club honor the NMC or NTC?
  13. Here is what the CBA says... 11.8 Individually Negotiated Limitations on Player Movement. (a) The SPC of any Player who is a Group 3 Unrestricted Free Agent under Article 10.1(a) may contain a no-Trade or a no-move clause. SPCs containing a no-Trade or a no-move clause may be entered into prior to the time that the Player is a Group 3 Unrestricted Free Agent so long as the SPC containing the no-Trade or no-move clause extends through and does not become effective until the time that the Player qualifies for Group 3 Unrestricted Free Agency. If the Player is Traded or claimed on Waivers prior to the no-Trade or no-move clause taking effect, the clause does not bind the acquiring Club. An acquiring Club may agree to continue to be bound by the no-Trade or no-move clause, which agreement shall be evidenced in writing to the Player, Central Registry and the NHLPA, in accordance with Exhibit 3 hereof.
  14. Yup, they need to be 27 or 7 years in the league if I am not mistaken..... Why would the Jets honor it if they didn't have to? Also, the teams will know before this draft what the rules are going to be so they can be informed before the draft.
  15. It is 1 goalie and 8 skaters or 1 goalie and 7 forwards and 3 D men.....at least that is what Chevy said on the radio.
  16. It is time for Chevy to start using his 4 callups...what is he waiting for?
  17. Petan is back...... Petan Lowry Kosmo ????
  18. Burmi is a RFA next year. Be crazy to sign Perreault just so you can protect him and leave another exposed....sign him after he becomes a free agent but have the deal agreed to beforehand.
  19. If they aren't exempt, that means we have to protect them... If we have to protect Buff, Myers and Enstrom, where does that leave Trouba? I consider losing Trouba trouble.
  20. Here are the players that will be able to be drafted if not protected, in June of 2017. ( I think ) The bolded are the ones I would protect. I think most everyone is in agreement with the goalie and D men...probably the first 6 protected forwards too. I decided to protect Copp and not Burmi but that's me. We have longer control of Copp's contract and I think he is going to be a good player for us. I'm not sure how the 25% or the NMC/NTC works. As far as I know, all other players are exempt and I don't know how drafted college players work either... Scheifele Armia Dano Lowry Burmistrov Little Lipon Stafford Wheeler Perreault Copp Olsen Thorburn Halischuk Kosmachuk Peluso Brassard Cormier MacWilliam Trouba Kitchton Chiarot Melchiori Byfuglien Enstrom Myers Stuart Hutchinson Hellebuyck Pavelec If Vegas wants to burn up caphit to get to the floor and not match it with salary, Stuart makes 2.625m and gets paid 1.75m for 2017-2018. Otherwise, I saw a mock draft that had Enstrom being drafted.
  21. There will be a lot of negotiating between the league and the NHLPA before the dust settles and the rules are set. Expect them to be fine tuned somewhat after the GMS let the owners know the proposed rules and what that GM thinks of it and even maybe what he proposes. I can't see us losing more than one player if it is in 2017 because who else besides Vegas is ready? So, we lose Burmi or Copp or maybe one of Chiarot, Enstrom or Stuart. It won't cripple us. Honestly, if Enstrom gets drafted, I can see him re-signing here a year later when he is an UFA. If there is another draft in 2018, we'll lose a good player.
  22. Buff and Enstrom have them and Myers has one that kicks in July 1, 2016. If they are exempt, fine. If not, and we have to protect them, we are in trouble.
  23. If you are implying that they rig the draw....I doubt it.
  24. They'd probably put Petan on the wing, no?
  25. Buff and Enstrom have NMC clauses. Little, Stuart and Wheeler all have NTC clauses. Myers has an NMC starting July 1, 2016.
