  1. 21 points in 35 games for the CBJ....that is a 49 point pace.
  2. He picked up one assist in the loss.
  3. Same as D men....it matters.
  4. A stopgap is exactly what Staf is and one that, as it turns out, isn't needed as long as first thought.
  5. Everyone on this site should read the bolded and accept it. Gotta disagree with you on Enstrom unless we are getting an LHD.
  6. I can see how rumors get started. Pitt kicked the tires on Enstrom, Chevy didn't initiate anything and there were no proposals made. Enstrom will get you more than a first. Those fancy numbers of Trouba's???? Enstrom's are first and Buff's are second with Stu last. Myers doesn't have a cap friendly contract, he has a 5.5m caphit. He has a salary friendly contract as his actual salary is 4m, 3.5m, and 3m for the next three years. I agree he is the logical one to be traded but unfortunately, the Jets don't get close to the cap so they love Myers' contract. His deal was front loaded. His first year's salary was 2m and a 10m signing bonus. His actual cost is only 10.5m for the next 3 years. Hamonic's actual salary starting next season is 4.875m and a caphit of 3.85m and he is signed for 4 more seasons after this one. I agree though, trade him this off-season. It is harder and takes longer for a D man to take the puck off of the boards on his backhand if he is a RH shot and playing the left side or vice versa. Common sense isn't it? I'd be interested in knowing how many D men play their opposite side on the first two pairings in the league. Why do you always here there is a shortage of RHD if it doesn't matter?
  7. Maatta is crazy. Four million in even 4 years is going to be so cheap for him it is sick. He's worth 5m for sure.
  8. The Hawks were trying Dano at LW and Connor did play center a while back. I agree though, some of it is pretty off. Dano does become one of our best prospects. #2 between Connor and Morrissey if Ehlers and Helle and Armia aren't considered prospects.
  9. what problem is that? Our LHD problem. It wouldn't surprise me if Chevy extends Enstrom for a couple of years at about 3m after his deal expires...
  10. They're getting rid of CHIAROT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/134905/top-20-winnipeg-jets-prospects/
  12. I sure am glad Chevy decided to deal with Buff and eventually sign him and we are not talking about how much we gave Ladd and had to let Buff go and what we got back for Buff. Chevy signed the right guy and then got a fair deal for Ladd.
  13. I would trade Staf whether we picked up Dano or not. Wheeler and Armia should be ahead of him and we shouldn't be paying a 3rd liner like Staf 4.35m per year.
  14. You'd play him higher in the lineup than Armia cuz nobody is moving Wheeler from RW.
  15. Stafford has no future with this team and the Jets aren't making the playoffs. Let's bury Dano on the 4th and play Staf to drag down Perreault. Wait, let's trade Staf and let Dano have some more meaningful minutes and develop on the Jets and get what we can for staf...I think we could get a good prospect or a 1st rounder for Stafford. DLA sounds good to me but I'd rather see DPA.
  16. Maurice said he will be watching a ton of film on him to help him see where to put him in the lineup. He won't start higher than 3rd line if you ask me. Wheeler, Armia ahead of him and where was Staf playing last night? RW? The more you look at it, the youngsters are squeezing Stafford out.
  17. Trouba will get more than Maatta. Morgan Rielly is a better comparable. Ladd was 4.4 and had about 25% of the season left. .25 x4.4 = 1.1. .36 x 1.1 = $396,000.00 Don't forget, Chevy also traded three contracts and only brought back two. There is a limit of 50 per team.
  18. hahaha house is up for sale so the wife has nowhere to live? You think she is moving to Chi-town within a week? Gimme a break. Low chance of him signing but if you listen to Chevy's interview he does say that he had had multiple talks with Ladd's people in the last few weeks and they have an area where his market value is. Chevy said no door is closed but someone will give him a longer term and more cashola than Chevy will and rightly so. The convo... Agent: Ladd can get x amount of dollars as an UFA. Chevy: I'm not willing to pay that. I'll give you y amount of dollars. Agent: We'll see what we can get an an UFA then. Chevy: Okay, talk to you this summer. Chevy: Stan, will you throw in a 3rd in 2018 if you win the cup this year? Bowman: Jeezus H. Chevy..............ya, okay but it is done today. Chevy: Deal.
  19. I always thought Vincent was the PP guy and Huddy took care of the PK and D men. Like I said, I am pretty ignorant to the way a club uses its coaches and the inner-workings of a club beyond what I have read and not many people talk about that unless they are retired. Maurice said that when they call someone up, he says what kind of guy he needs (griity or scorer or whatever) and someone else that knows the Moose better, makes the decision. The interaction between Maurice and his assistants and Maurice and Chevy and Chevy and Chipman intrigue me.
  20. Niku out for the season with an upper body injury.
  21. Ladd played a whole season for Atlanta...
  22. http://www.tsn.ca/winnipeg-one-step-back-two-steps-forward-1.443469 way off on some of these grades.............
  23. I can't see Maurice breaking up Armia's line after tonight's game....Scheif's either for that matter but what do I know? Staf should be traded for as high a pick as we can get. Are we going to pay him 4.35m for playing the third line next year? He's got Armia, Ehlers, Wheeler, Connor, Perreault and Dano ahead of him if you ask me.
  24. Wheeler 6' 5" ... Staf 6' 2" 215 ... even Postma is 6' 3" 195...we are one of the biggest teams in the league although we go down a bit by losing Ladd. http://mirtle.blogspot.ca/2015/10/2015-16-nhl-teams-by-height-weight-and.html
