I don't WANT to trade all the players I mentioned, not counting Ladd. I would given the right return though. Thorbs I wouldn't think twice about, get him and Stu off of the books. The thing about Perreault is, how much to keep him? Are we okay with paying a guy about 4 to 4 1/2 m per season for 4 years if the youngsters are going to push him down to the 3rd line. In 2017-2018 our top six could be Connor, Scheif, Wheeler, Ehlers, Armia, and Little. Will we be able to pay a 3rd liner that kind of cash? Id doubt it. Here's short list of RFAs that come up the year after Perreault's contract expires. Lemieux Morrissey Petan De Leo Kostalek Ehlers Lodge Comrie As well the following will be UFAs that year... Stuart Little Enstrom These three equal 13m of cap hit so if we aren't re-signing them, it shouldn't be a problem re-upping the youngsters.

5x5.5 is okay with me but I'd rather trade him. If they re-sign him, make it similar to Buff's where after two years, there are options to trade him. 7 7 6 4 3.5 If Ladd can give us the play for the next 2-3 years he did in the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons, it would be nice but can he? If we can get 2 good prospects or a first and a good prospect, I say trade him. I am comfortable with Chevy drafting a good player around the 20-30 mark in the draft. Send Staf and Thorbs somewhere for a first too. I know I'll catch flak for this but given the right deal, I'd trade Perreault as well. It would have to an overpay though.

Maurice wants more offense from Copp. He said so a week or so ago. Likes his D game but eventually has to start contributing on O is more or less what he said.

It sure does. Maurice took my suggestion about Armia on the PK too. Glad he comes here once in awhile, don't know where we'd be if he didn't.

I'd take Larsson and a 1st for Ladd in a second. Larsson would be a great add to the LHD prospects. There 1st should be around the low 20s. Chicago or Florida is where he is likely to end up but maybe the Caps want to add him for their run in this year's playoffs?

See ya Thorbs....it wouldn't take me long to pull the plug on a trade to get him off the roster. What wold he bring back? Send Staf and Thorbs there.

There are some young LHD on other team's farm clubs that are VERY close to playing in the NHL and I would love to see one of them come this way and Ladd and/or Staf going out. Ladd + 3rd? to the ducks for Theodore?

Well, let me put it to you this way...I would rather finish last and have the highest chance possible of getting the first overall pick than finishing in any other position because that wouldn't give me the best chance to take Matthews. Get me yet? I've been saying since November that the Jets wouldn't make the playoffs. They have had a terrible schedule this year and I kow it is no excuse but they have and the worst is yet to come. On a positive note, nice to see Armia getting some PK time. He has done it most of his career and gets the odd shorty. Another really strong game by him. Good stick, smart D, soft hands and a high hockey IQ.

"Tanking," is a team's intent to do less than everything it can to win. It is a concerted effort over several months (and perhaps several seasons) by a team to deliberately not be as good as it could be. It is considered cheap, disingenuous and dishonest, the byproduct of a flawed system where a team can be rewarded for being bad and where deliberately losing is thereby a strategic decision. You really should think before you post you know.

I don't blame Maurice for getting mad but you're head coach for God's sake! No wonder we take so many penalties. Poor display of leadership.... That and/or the Little/Ehlers hits sure got the team going though, too bad they didn't play like that from the first period. TO lost and Deadmonton is losing, they know how to tank properly...

A better showing by Pavs and this is a win. No OT needed. Ladd and Armia and Buff and Trouba had strong games. You can finish 3rd last and still not pick until 6th but I'd love to see a 30th place finish and Matthews in a Jets uni next season. Perreault takes a beating doesn't he?
