If you can get a 1st and a prospect for Staf, trade him too. Stuart is hurt so pull up Morrissey and take a look at him for 6-8 games. Try him out on the PP......... maybe even the PK, I don't know. Will someone take Thorbs or Burmi for the playoffs? Should get something back for an RFA like Burmi. Cut your losses. Get Lemieux onto the Moose or will that burn a year off of his ELC? If not, get him up here, Connor too. Give De Leo a look, he's earned it.

Not a ton but I have watched a few and considering Eichel's linemates this year, I would have expected much much more from him. McDavid might surpass him in points this year even though he was out with a broken clavicle! Huge drop from one to the other. It remains to be seen but most analysts say that Matthews would have been 2nd pick last year if he were born a couple of days earlier. I am not saying I don't like Eichel because I do.

How long until we become serious contenders? Will we ever? A much easier question to answer after the draft but I am serious what everyone's opinions are. I think by the 2018-2019 season, we will be serious contenders for the cup. Players like Trouba, Connor, Ehlers, Helle/Comrie, etc... have to come through but I think starting that season, the Jets will be considered contenders.

Sorry, huge drop from McDavid to Eichel. at least there is now. Matthews would have been 2nd if he was in last year's draft.

So, the team wants to break the agreement and Stamkos should pull up stakes and move for 3 months and give the team that won't give him what he deserves what they want? pffttttt. Myers has hit a plateau and will not get much better. Buff is playing at his peak. Trouba can still improve lots as can Chiarot. Enstrom is on a decline and Stuart has hit a plateau.....his plateau is at the basement floor. Myers played 18:06 and Enstrom played 25:49. Trouba played 20:43 and Buff 26:35. Chiarto played 13:46 and Pardy 13:08 (10:00 too much). When will Maurice see it isn't rust on Pardy and play Postma? I say Pardy sits by the Pens game. Ladd went back on the Little Wheeler line last night and I liked his game. His banging led to the goal if I remember correctly. Actually, he has played better the last handful of games. Armia was really good and I wonder if Maurice will keep him with Ehlers and Scheif? Pavs is showing well for prospective buyers. Hutch will play soon so Chevy can let others see how he is playing. I really like Staf's game this year but should we trade him at the TD? Wil there be room for him next year in the top 6? Is Chevy going to pay 4.35m for a 3rd liner? Should he? Scheif, Connor, Little, Wheeler, Armia and Ehlers look good as our top 6 next year with MP and Lowry on the 3rd line. Do we have room if any of Petan/Lemieux/Lipon etc... make the team? What would Staf bring back? A 1st for sure. A 1st (or prospect) for Staf and a 1st (or prospect) and a prospect for Ladd. A pick for one of our goalies. Chevy has some assets he needs to think about quickly.

I agree. The contracts are guaranteed so when a player stops playing well, he still gets his full pay. Like Rich said, it's pro sports, it's a business. I think he has as much chance at re-signing as not.

Pokka shoots right. I'd take him and a 1st though. A 1st and Mike Matheson from Florida. Pirri might be coming back if Ladd goes there tho. I'd like to get Theodore from the Ducks but it would probably take more than Ladd. I'd be okay with that depending what the add was. Mirco Mueller and a 1st from the Sharks I would do. Bowey from the Caps wold be nice too.

I'm okay with keeping Trouba and Myers if Trouba is staying on the left side. Pairing 2 good RHDs with anchors is counterproductive. Ladd to Florida for Matheson and a 1st would be a sweet deal. Ladd straight up for Crouse?

Big difference between those two if you ask me.

If Lemieux is ready, he should start on the Jets, if not, the Moose. Same as Connor or anyone for that matter. It isn't rocket science.
