I'd take Dano over Svedberg.

Game 56 : Jets @ Hurricane Carter

That might be true but he isn't the problem tonight. Besides Armia, he is the best Jet on the ice through two periods. -
One injury in college and his career doesn't even start.
-
Connor will make the team legitimately and if he is ready, why wouldn't you start him? I'd like to see Morrissey, Connor and one of Lipon, Lemieux or Petan make the team out of TC.

I'm ready to see what Postma can do. Pavs has been good. I wonder if Maurice will keep the Ehlers Scheifele Armia line together. -
The Pens got Mario by tanking.
-
What has he got left to prove in the NCAA???

1st and Dano sounds nice but I think he ends up in Florida and signs long term.

Kyle Connor has 48 point in 27 games an average of 1.7787 points per game . Dylan Larkin had 47 points in 35 games for the same team last year for an average of 1.343 points per game . Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games in his last year of college for an average of 1.775 points per game . I see Connor making the team in the fall and actually signing in March and getting a couple of weeks on the Jets roster at the end of the season. I am hoping to see Connor on one wing with Wheeler or Ehlers or Armia on the other wing with Scheif or Matthews at center. Going forward... Connor Scheif Wheeler Armia Ehlers and Matthews/Laine/Puljujärvi look like a pretty solid top 6 for a few years. Lemieux, Roslovic, Petan, Copp, Lowry, Harkins, De Leo, Lipon, and Spacek will be fighting for roster spots sooner or later. We have Comrie and Helle and Phillips for depth in goal and look to be set for some time. Our D, on the other hand, needs some help on the depth. Besides Morrissey, there isn't much coming up the pike on the left hand side and I fully expect the Jets to take some LHD at this draft or trade for one by this time next year. There is Sami Niku and not much else. The RHD right now is very good but not a great deal coming up the pike. Hopefully Kostalek makes the team in at least a 3rd pairing position and hopefully Glover and/or Poolman and/or Nogier turn out.

Columbus has an easier schedule with TO and the Jets having a horrendous schedule starting March... I really can't see the Jets finishing higher than 28th.
-
I understand the odds. Odds are if you finish last, you have the best chance of picking first. Freakin Oilers have a horseshoe up their arses. If we finish 3rd last, I think the worst we can pick is 6 and we can still get a pretty good player at sixth. I wouldn't be disappointed to see Chycrun in a Jets D. Much rather see Matthews. If Connor and Ehlers pan out and we get Matthews and he is as stated, we're not far off being contenders. Helle develops properly, Trouba turns into a #1 D man. Scheif as a 2C in 2-3 years with the Jets would be a nice sight to see. I've got to say, get a really high draft pick or not, I'm as optimistic on the Jets' future as I ever have been including Jets 1.0.

Pardy won't last 4-6 weeks although I wish they would leave him in there for the tank. Postma will see time and I wouldn't be surprised if another d man started some games while Stu is out too. If we finished higher than 28th, I will be surprised. Leave Helle in the minors. Call Harrison up and play him on the first pairing. Play Hutch the rest of the season....I want Matthews.
-
Does Buff get the "A" or does Wheeler?
-
Why is he even on the PK, he is horrible on it. He is at best a 7/8 D man and we have him playing 82 games a season... We'll see what is in the cupboard regarding D men anyway. I expect Postma to replace Pardy and maybe even a call up from the farm. Morrissey ready?
-
It would have to be third line and do you want to pay a 3rd liner the money Perreault will be making? 2 years time... Connor Scheif Armia Ehlers Little Wheeler Perreault Lowry ??? No room on the top 6 for him if you ask me. I love how he is playing and give him 17 for 4 years but I would trade him if he were being pushed down to the third line.
-
I'll be the first to admit that Stu has played better than others......just nobody on the Jets.......
-
ziinnngggggggg

Stuart under-rated? That's funny...I dump on him all the time but he deserves it. I have purposely watched him even if the puck isn't near him and he is just a total liability in his zone. Why play Pardy? Play Postma or call someone up from the farm already. We aren't making the playoffs. Give one of the young guys some ice time with the big club.
-
Give Copp lots of PK time. I think it would benefit his playing while on his usual shift.
-
If he is out for 4-6 weeks, no way Pardy stays in the lineup that long. Postma will see ti me. Who will the Jets call up from the farm to replace him? Lipon? Kichton? Morrissey? De Leo?
-
No offense Mr. Stuart but, you should have been sat 4-6 weeks ago. Pardy in for the tank!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Maybe Stamkos will re-sign... Everyone is assuming he is moving to a different team.
-
Pardy is in and Postma still sits......
-
|I agree but will there be room for him in 2 or 3 years?

Lindholm has at least as high a ceiling as Trouba and no way in hell are they parting with him... Probable starting lineup tonight... Ehlers-Little-Wheeler Perreault-Scheifele-Stafford Ladd-Burmistrov-Armia Peluso-Copp-Thorburn Enstrom-Byfuglien Chiarot-Myers Pardy-Trouba Pavelec Hutchinson I'd exchange Burmi/Copp and Armia/Stafford but that's me. I'd swap Scheif/Little too.
