  1. sitting Chiarot over Stu? I would start ... Pardy Postma 27 minutes Stuart Chiarot 27 minutes Trouba Myers 6 minutes but I want Matthews...
  2. What about signing him to 6x5.8? or 5 x 6? ...... 8, 7, 6, 5, 4? <<<<<<<<<< I wouldn't mind this one. Similar NTC to Buff's.
  3. Kind of a different situation but I agree. He went 2nd overall the same year Trouba went 9th. Been saying all along, Trouba has done nothing to deserve the big contract yet.
  4. You guys know inconsistency and special teams have done this team in this year. Armia has been on the PK a lot coming up and I would love to see him and his long frame and stick out at the point. Maurice should move Staf to the Lowry line and Armia to Staf's spot. Perreault Scheifele Armia might not be too bad.
  5. http://podbay.fm/show/354153569/e/1455214955?autostart=1 Chevy starts around the 30:15 mark and starts talking about Ladd around the 38:12 mark. Mentions the RFAs, the unknown cap and there is a deal to be made or a trade to be made............Ladd will not be on the Jets if he is unsigned after the TD. Hold out Andrew, we can use the prospects.
  6. What does everyone think he is worth and which team is the best trading partner? Most people think a 1st and a good prospect. I'd sooner have prospects than picks. Nobody with a high pick is trading it.
  7. yup............oops
  8. Armia on the 4th........who are you taking off? Thorbs or Peluso?
  9. The Jets have been out of the p layoffs since November if you have any kind of working eyes.
  10. Who is going to argue with me now that Stuart is, at best, a 7/8 D man. Typical, Stuart liability in his own zone and I am sick of seeing him play. Don't trade him until the off-season because I want us to have a high draft pick. No way in hell are we making the post season and no way in hell do we deserve to. We haven't won 3 games in a row all season....think about that for awhile.
  11. Let's not forget that Buff might now want to play past 5 years.
  12. ...even though they were trying for McDavid...
  13. Stuart, Buff, and Staf are too.
  14. I say he does. What is the chances that he signs here for two years if he hadn't already played the end of the season and playoffs here? not much...
  15. no 1st this year so people were saying Kempe + ?
  16. Haha, read this in a few places...........what about Stuart.....................?
  17. Patience grasshopper... Guy Lafleur wasn't built in a day. I'd love to see Myers moved for Hamonic but with such a salary friendly contract, the Jets want to hold on to him. Maybe when they take the cap hit more importantly than the salary. Not many players will like the treatment they would be getting in our zone from Buff, Hamonic, Trouba etc... This is what McKenzie said today "The sense I’m getting from teams that would like to trade for Hamonic is that New York Islander general manager Garth Snow would really rather prefer to put this whole thing off until the summer." This is better suited to the Jets as they will kow where they stand in the draft and will have dealt with Ladd. Methinks the RFAs re-sign close to TC this fall, especially Trouba. Ya, I think the earliest we see Roslovic on the Jets is the 2018-2019 season or late in the season before. I expect Connor to make the Moose next year if not the Jets. Would absolutely love it if they didn't give them a choice but to keep him after this year's TC.
  18. Trouble is, I've watched Trouba all year. They need to bridge him to make sure he is on his way to attaining that ceiling.
  19. A year after the trade...let's take a look at it to see how things have settled. Kane, Bogosian and Kasdorf for Myers, Stafford, Lemieux and a 1st round that was Roslovic at 25th overall. Roslovic is playing for Miami University in Ohio and is their leading scorer with 21 points in 27 games. Shoots right and has a lot of offensive upside. Lemieux has been traded part way through the year from Barrie to Windsor and has 45 points in 32 games. He was suspended for an illegal hit earlier in the season and plays with an edge. Will probably play for the Jets before the 2016-2017 season is over. Armia has played over 20 games with the Jets now and is playing defensively sound hockey. This has given the coach to play him in more situations. Rarely caught out of position. Destined to play on the 2nd line if he keeps it up. Myers has played 78 games and has scored 34 points. He played a big part in the Jets making the playoffs last year. He is mainly paired with Enstrom and sees time on special teams as well. He has a 5.5m caphit and he is signed for 3 more seasons after this one. His actual salary is 5m this year and 4m, 3.5m, 3m for the last three seasons. Plays in all situations but should be much more aggressive, especially for his size. Stafford re-signed for 4.35m per year for two years and has played 75 games while scoring 47 points. A big winger that can score and has also seen time on special teams and was also a big part of the Jets making the playoffs last year. He ahs played all over the lineup this year andhas played well wherever he was put. Kane has 21 points in 44 games and has recently been on the 3rd line with Gionta and Larsson. Off ice issues continue to plague him in Buffalo. When healthy, he is a good, hard hitting power forward but it seems he will never reach the potential of a consistent 30 scorer that most thought he would develop into. Bogosian has played 58 games and has 15 points. He is a -25 in those 58 games. Mainly considered close to a bust in Buffalo and rumored to be on the trade market. Played very well and got lots of ice time at first but injuries have stalled him and they are not pleased with imm in Buffalo. Kasdorf plays for the and has a record of 8-8-4 with a GAA of 2.15and a sv% of .934. He is 23 and it might be a reach to say he will make the big club any time soon. After one year I would have to say that the trade seems to favor the Jets. Mainly because of the play of the players they traded away. Staf has a higher ppg that Kane and Myers is a better D man than Bogo. Chances are Kasdorf doesn't making starting goalie on the farm and Armia, Lemieux and Roslovic all make the big team. Way to go Chevy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Not many D men get top dollar it they aren't putting up points. It's not that I disagree with you because I do. It is the way the league is though. Hamonic is a true shutdown D man and his cap hit is around 3.86m per year.
  21. Chevy is high on Drouin but the asking price is too high. If I had to add Lowry to a deal to make it happen, I would. He is not irreplaceable. Copp would probably replace him in a year or so.
  22. Yup, slim chance. He'd have to play absolutely lights out to get re-signed. I like him though, he's been moved all over the lineup and does what is asked of him.
  23. ya, kinda hard to keep up to Maurice's line shuffling the past couple of games.
  24. 22 in a couple of weeks actually.....more reason for a bridge....show us what you got.......if he is the real deal, 8mx7.5 and he is 32 when the deal expires.....is a key cog in the team for years to come and probably wears an "A". If he isn't, then pay him whatever a 2nd line D man makes...not sure how much that is but I am guessing 4.5m per year. He's got 12 points for God's sake... giving him a big money long term deal would be foolish.
  25. A 1st and Nichuskin would be fine by me. I think it was McKenzie that said after the 8th or 9th pick, there isn't a lot of difference between 10 to 22 or so. We trade Ladd now and sink lower in the standings and get a top 3 pick next year and Nichuskin and Dallas 1st...........it's a win. I know I harp on about this but it wold sure be nice to see Stuart traded to a contender....2.625m for another 2 seasons off the books and no more Stuart....another win.
