Does the re-signing of Buff change the decisions on the RFAs? I'd say a 2 year bridge for Scheif and Trouba for about 4m to 4.25m a year each. Offer Lowry 1.5m a year for two years. Hutch I would offer a 650k two-way for 2 years. Armia I would offer 1.5m a year for two years. Lipon would get a similar deal to the one he is on. The Jets are about 22.7m away from the cap for 2016-2017 after re-singing Buff. The above salaries leave 10.8m under the cap but Ladd isn't accounted for.

Ya, he said you don't build a cup contender overnight and he likes what he has seen come into the organization and what is coming up. He thanked Chipman and Chevy.

8m, 8m, 8m, 8m, 6m.

It would take a lot for me to give up Trouba in a trade for Hamonic. I would give Trouba a 2 year bridge for about 8.5....something like 4m and 4.5m. That should be enough to satisfy him for two years and know if he plays to his potential, he will get a huge contract the next one he signs. Chevy covers his arse in case he doesn't play up to potential and doesn't have to re-sign him to a mega-contract. Also, I think they really like what they see in the pairing of Trouba-Buff. I hope they don't trade Enstrom unless they are getting some help on LHD from elsewhere. I'm not sure in any way if Morrissey is any closer or not.

LeBrun ... "It's a 100 percent no-move starting immediately and for the first two years of the new deal. then it shifts into a modified no-trade with a list of teams starting in Year 3." 2 million signing bonus and 6m for the first year.

I'd like to see Perreault Little Armia.
-
it is for 2017-2018...
-
Buff's 7.6 USD today is worth about 10.5 CAD.
-
He's been on the team all year and doesn't seem to be hampering the tank too badly...
-
Shitty but you have to control your stick. Hopefully give Armia more time to show his stuff.

I'm guessing that if Perreault re-signs, it is around this time of the year next season. Ladd will not on on the roster without a deal after the TD....both sides know this.
-
Worse case scenario is Trouba ends up a good 2nd pairing....nothing to sneeze at....patience grasshopper. Give him a 2 year bridge and tell him he will get the cotract he deserves after the two years. Hamonic has 4.875m in actual salary per year on his contract. The Jets seem to think actual salary is more important. He won't get 7m per on his next deal....Chevy will not pay that much for him and has the leverage on him as well. I see the Trouba-Buff pairing for years to come as does Maurice and Chevy I'll bet.

For five years they got a deal.......... Buff would have easily got a 7 year deal in UFA. I LOVE this news.
-
I posted it with approximate salaries to show we can have a pretty good line up and stay under the cap.

this was posted in July......... My last post is the one I just posted and this is the 2017-2018 lineup not next season's lineup.

Let me try again... Ehlers1 Scheifele4.9 Wheeler5.6 =11.5m Connor1 Little4.4 Armia2.8 =8.2m Copp1.9 Perreault5 (2016 1st round draft pick)1 =7.9m Lemieux1 Lowry2.5 Roslovic1 =4.5m Enstrom5.75 - Trouba5.75 =11.5m LHD*4.5 - Buff7.5 =12m Morrissey1 - Myers5.5 =6.5m Helle4.6 /Comrie.7 =5.3m Bolded = rookie *acquired in Ladd trade. (Ladd's return + Petan/2017 1st round draft pick for 2LHD). Assumes Perreault re-signs for 5m and that Scheif re-signs for 4.9 , Trouba for 5.75, Copp for 1.5, Armia for 2.8 and Lowry for 2.5 . Also assumes Stafford, Ladd, Stuart, Petan, Hutchinson and Burmi are traded. salary = 67.4m

I'd like to know what Hutch stopped and said to Ehlers in the lineup while shaking hands after the game...
-
It is the older players that aren't performing....on whole, the youngsters are getting it done.
-
From what I recall, Selanne took his time getting here and could have been here sooner. Also, how big a deal that 1.5m? signing bonus was at that time. The Hawks got an offer sheet signed a couple of years later by Tkachuk that the Jets matched, too. I wish Buff would have got a hold of Landeslob and beat him down the big crier. Comeau too. The game on March 12 should be a gooder... Bring on St. Louis and let's get a couple of losses going here.
-
I'd like to see Armia line up with Little and Perreault for 10 or so games. Rumor has it that Peluso isn't needed anymore and will soon be traded with the heavyweight title being given to Ehlers last night... I like watching those c$%^s&%&%rs from Denver lose but it'd be nice if the Jets lost a bunch and got a high draft pcik. No way in hell they make the post-season.
-
It was Teemu's choice not to be here earlier, he could have been. I agree though, a history of late developing players. Armia was one of the best players on the ice, in my opinion, and should get more time at the higher level lines. Armia on the 4th is plain stupid.

Game 51 : Category 5 Hurricanes @ Jets

So, they'd trade Hamonic and Strome for Trouba but not for Trouba and Petan? -
Same, they've had their share...
