  1. For those of you that say Deadmonton played well...did you turn it off after their 3rd goal? Their goalie stole this game for them plain and simple. TUP, we have 11.5m of cap space this year, next year we have 30m. Okposo scores points at about the same pace whether he is with Tavares or not....Tavares scores less when not playing with Okposo....I was using himas an example of someone that Ladd's money could be spent on. Trade Ladd for what u can get for him and go after a FA...
  2. which is why i said switch ehlers to the left.... Talbot ahd 40 perimeter shots??? we watch the same game? How many in close opportunities did he stop? LOTS!
  3. I'd trade Ladd and sign Okposo in FA for 6x6. Switch Ehlers to the LW and we are in better shape ... Okposo> Ladd ... plus we have what Ladd got us back in trade. Our top 9 get better with this trade as Staf would go down to third line and be replaced in 2017-2018 with Armia.
  4. Trade Ladd and keep Buff. Thorbs should be on the 4th. Burmi had a good game but no finish to his game. PP sucks eggs.
  5. Talbot steals a game. Hard to fault the team not counting Helle's poor play. I didn't think Ladd did much out there and Armia played well enough to take Thorburn's place on the 3rd line. The United Nations line should be the new 3rd line.... Ehlers Burmi Armia ... Armia has shown enough D savvy to warrant another start for sure.
  6. Buff is the one to keep, he has had a strong year. The best D man we have.
  7. yup, good on O but not so much on D....Myers? he was watching the guy BEHIND the net on that goal...
  8. Talbot is the reason this is a two goal game.... robbing the Jets' shooters.
  9. Oilers have 2 D men out.
  10. Spurgeon signs an extension for 5.1875 AAV for 4 years with Wild.
  11. I thought he played really well too. If he can't keep his intensity level up, ship him back down though, we don't need any coasters. I think he helps the 4th line get closer to the ice time a good 4th line should see. 10-12 minutes a game. Hali is faster than I remembered and I guess he is helping on the PK seeing as Lowry isn't here. I hope the Jets get one early in the game and the team stays out of the box and the 4th line can see some real time.
  12. Maurice talking about Armia today saying his intensity level was where it was supposed to be, his hands are good, he was responsible defensively and he was "on the puck". Said good things about the 4th line and rightly so. Hali surprised me to be honest. I think Hutch sees one game this trip, I hope it is the Flames. He spoke of Helle's start with the team being similar to Hutch's.
  13. Lemieux has 9G and 3A in first 5 games with Spitfires.
  14. I think it is good that Chevy asked about RyJo (he was rumored to be in on Stastny a couple of years back too) ...after reading more on him, my only concern would be his heart and whether it might be an issue. The next contract this guy signs will be huge so you have to really do your homework. Probably end up with the Wild or the Preds at TD or off-season.
  15. So, in your vast experience, how many D play their off side?
  16. First half of the last paragraph... http://www.ottawasun.com/2015/12/19/penguins-looking-for-a-way-to-turn-around-their-fortunes?token=22c731ab29beb73b22d0da52c3ba5fec All eyes are on Columbus forward Ryan Johansen and we’ve been told there is a ton of interest. The Minnesota Wild and Jets are believed to be among the teams that have been kicking tires. He has been in the doghouse since coach John Tortorella arrived and the 23-year-old’s his ice time has taken a hit. The Jackets aren’t shopping Johansen, who has a deal that runs through next season with a $4 million cap hit, but GM Jarmo Kekalainen isn’t hanging up on anybody who inquires either. He was a healthy scratch Thursday against the Avalanche but returned to play on the top line Saturday night. You can’t trade a guy if you don’t play him because you devalue the player
  17. How many D men you know playing their off side? Your comments tell me you don't know much about the sport.
  18. RIP to Dickie Moore He played on, arguably, the best team ever. Former Art Ross winner. Scored 96 points in 58-59!
  19. Nah, I don't want to see Ladd on Scheif's line. I am really looking to see Connor play with the Jets. Connor Scheif Wheeler or Connor Scheif Ehlers
  20. Besides the penalties, I honestly didn't mind Ladd's game last night. A big reason Little got the first goal was his pressure and didn't seem as slow to me. I'd really like to see him on a different line and put someone else on the first not named Thorburn. I don't want to break up PSS but I would love to see Ehlers Scheif Wheeler.
  21. .Keep him down there and send him back when he is "ripe".
  22. He's played well in two from what I have read.
  23. Thorbs has played on all 4 lines now...
  24. I guess we have a different opinion of "untouchable". After the Gretzky trade, nobody is untouchable. If a quality LHD came up to grab and Copp was part of the trade, I wouldn't think twice. Burmi can take his place...he should be there anyway. Copp's playing better than he is, considering.
