The Jets won't make the p layoffs....been saying this since late November...

Burmi 2 points in last 10 games.... Thorbs 3 points in last 10 games. Why are they a line? I'd like to see Burmi between Lowry and Armia.

Ehlers could step up too. Two points in his last 10 games. Falling down or getting checked while overhandling the puck isn't doing anyone any good. The 3rd line needs shaking up because it is horrid. How much time has Copp's line seen? 2 1/2 minutes? Just heard Kyle Connor got a hat trick tonight...

Giving the Hawks all the PP time they can handle. More undisciplined plays by Buff and Stuart. Helle still playing well. Ehlers needs to learn that he isn't in junior any more. Too bad he can't be sent to the Moose. Stuart is atrocious and my ass could crack walnuts every time he handles the puck... I couldn't give two knobs of goat shite how good he is in the room, he doesn't belong on the ice...

Jets on the PK 3 times in the first period. 4th line seeing next to no time. Stafford showing great poise with the puck. Helle playing well.

The Moose are a mess. I don't know if it is coaching or what it is. Armia would be better off playing than riding the pine with the Jets. Comrie is seeing lots of rubber but he is used to it. 2.90 GAA and a .912 sv%. Last I checked, Morrissey had zero goals and two assists in 21 games! Kostalek was injured but is back now. Komaschuk has 6 points in 21 games. Olsen has 2 points in 21 games. Petan has 4 points in 8 games and De Leo has 11 points in 21 games which isn't too shabby for either player.

Did Maurice say Hutch was starting? We need to stay out of the penalty box tonight and no lazy stick penalties. Play smart D and the rest will take care of itself. I hope Scheif's line continues its stellar play. Peluso is playing again?

The season is long enough where these things more or less even themselves out.....he'll play very well in games he will lose and others he will win. He'll play poorly in games and win. Take the W when you get it. He said there are things he needs to work on like "getting a piece of the puck isn't good enough in this league." He should be working on those rebounds he lets out but like I say, you can't ask for any better than 4-0. Who's starting tonight?

Rugged is fine but Stuart is a liability. Kichton will not play many (if any) games for the Jets. Eberle and RNH both make 6m a year and their cap hit is 6m a year. Leave Morrissey with the Moose until he is ready....rushing him isn't doing anyone any good. I'd rather see them sign Buff and trade Myers and Ladd but I don't think that will happen.

Yup, I'll take Ws over GAA or sv% any day. Scheif's line was a force and that line (Staf on pace for 45point season, Scheif on pace for a 54point season and MP on pace for a 63 point season!) has really turned it on lately. Last 10 games... Scheifele 10points Perreault 12 points Stafford 9 points ...now, if only the 3rd line could start producing. Buff had 3 points and almost 25 minutes of ice time but two of CBJ's goals were scored by his checks. Chiarot was okay. Trouba was good and I liked his aggressiveness on the PK tonight. Nice to see Lowry put one in and it seemed to spark him a bit. LOTS of grade A scoring chances by the Jets in the first two periods. This could easily have gone into OT and it shouldn't have been close. Little is missing practices and is probably playing hurt but is still playing well. Big game against the Hawks standings-wise next... Helle should start in Chitown tomorrow but probably won't.

No matter, this is a game we shouldn't lose.... one of the worst teams int he league with their backup goalie? It shouldn't be close...

Dreger was on H & L today and was saying the cap will be from 71.4 (current) to 74.5 as a high. It won't be going down. This gives teams a few extra bucks. It doesn't mean as much to teams like the Jets as it does to teams like TB, the Flyers, the Rangers and other teams close to the cap. Status quo on the negotiations with Buff and Ladd. He mentions that with Scheifele's and Trouba's contracts that Chevy has a lot of work in front of him. No more compensation for hiring a fired coach any more. Punted to the curb by Bettman with help from the Executive Committee.

Maurice said when he switched up the lines, Scheif's line was asked to take on more responsibility defensively. Ehler's play has dropped off from his start for lots of reasons though. He still has to find out what will and will not work in the NHL. Lots of things he got away with in the juniors won't be tolerated up in the bigs too. He'll be a great player for this team and let's remember, he is 19 years old. He'll be fine. I would love to see him on a line like Ehlers, Scheif and Wheeler.

Playing with juniors will not help him play against men....leave him on the big team...give him some 1st or 2nd line time with some defensively sound players. Lineup I'd like to see for the CBJ game...no Peluso but big line changes.
