Unless the Jets are paying for half his salary he's not being traded. He's got 1 more year left on his MOS salary. He was second to Stafford in goals for the Jets upon being traded here was he not? Chevy x'd the pooch on Stempy. Stempy > Copp this year. He's signed to two more years after this one.

I'd sign Scheif to 8 years if he agreed. Would 40m get it done? Thorbs should be a 12th or 13th winger....Peluso should be brought in for about 12-15 games a season max...lack of depth is obvious this season. Ya, I think they are hoping for Myers to replace Buff's points and Trouba to step up next year. As much as I won't like to see it, I think Buff is gone. If we trade Enstrom, what is our LHD looking like? Morrissey, Chiarot, Pardy, Stuart and Harrison? ouch... We need a 1LHD or 2LHD badly. If we pried Muzzin out of LA for something/someone, I would play him.

Chevy will have a better idea of next year's cap after the board of Governor's meeting this week. I am thinking it might be part of the reason why no Jets' UFAs have been re-signed as well. Trouba's deal will not be an easy one to do and will be drawn out too. I'd be much happier (on the D) with a 1LHD. I'd really like to see Hamonic in a Jets' uni because I think the Jets need a D like him but at what cost? Not Trouba. I'd trade Myers but then is Trouba going to have enough O to replace Myers? Buff still going to be on the team? Trouba's average TOI this year is about 20 minutes or so and I would like to see it much closer to 25. I honestly think Chevy is thinking of Trouba and Myers as our RHD and is going to move Buff. so, do we dress Hamonic, Trouba and Myers as RHD? If I had to pick, I would have Trouba and Hamonic as the top 2 RHD and trade Myers and Buff. Get a 1LHD or at worst a 2LHD that can generate some serious O. Myers in a deal for Hamonic and Buff and Ladd and some prospects or picks or players for a top 6 winger and a 1LHD or 2LHD would make this a deeper, better team. Hopefully Morrissey is able to replace Enstrom in a couple years. Give trouba the PP time and Hamonic the shutdown minutes. Play them 25 minutes each with Enstrom and another LHD. Wheeler Scheifele Stafford Perrault Little and the top 6 winger would make a good top 2 lines. You'd have the rest of the team to fill out the bottom two lines. Isn't it time Peluso sat? I mean, really? Send Armia back to the Moose if he isn't going to play. Lord knows they need him.

This game might get ugly....was Buff mouthing "this isn't over"? Someone ought to take Prickell's head off for that cheap shot. Wonder if the league will look at it. Buff gets blindsided and the Hawks get the PP? What a play for a vet like Prickell to make...just got called up and trying to stay up? Washed up POS! Some questions I ponder to keep myself away from chores today... Anyone ever notice how many times Buff says "you know" in an interview......I doubt you can find an interview with him that he doesn't say "you know" at least 10 times. I guess Armia was called up in case of an emergency or injury? I was really hoping to see him get some ice time. The team is playing better for the last 5 or so games. Can we make the playoffs? Will we? Yesterday's game's observations... Myers played really well. Chiarot didn't hurt himself. Buff didn't play bad but he took some shifts off last night... Maybe parts of shifts is a better way to say it. Scheif has really come on the last little while. Is he a top 10 center if he is consistently on his game? Is Morrissey ready to take Stuart's job yet? I know a lot of people don't agree with this but I think Staf has played well and despite streaky points totals, has played the same game every game. Who is going to replace Buff's TOI if/when he is traded? I can't see Kostalek or Glover or Poolman making the team next year and Maurice doesn't seem to have much confidence in Postma. Trouba would pick up some and Myers might get an extra 3 or so minutes but Buff is averaging just under 24 minutes a game! Why isn't Maurice playing one of the top 3 RHD on the LHD? Trouba didn't really look out of place there but do you want to shift him over now that his game has picked up? If Trouba and Myers see 25 each, the other RHD would need to play 10, anyone in the system to do that?

I think they will hold onto Buff if they are in a playoff run (doubtful) but trade him if they are not. How is Trouba going to develop properly playing behind Myers and Buff? Myers and Buff get ice time with Little's and Scheifele's lines and Trouba sees more ti me with the 3rd and 4th lines and next to no PP ti me. Also, he sees most of this time paired with Stuart, a 7th or 8th D man. I really wonder if Buff could adapt later in his career to being a physical shutdown D man?

They've turned down Buff so adding an AHLer and 4th aren't going to sway them....probably see Hamonic traded in the off-season.

You watch it.... oh look, it's Ehlers standing there while the guy picks the puck up and goes in on net. That goal last night isn't on only Stuart. Burmi and Ehlers are partially to blame. He won't always cover his man and has the habit of leaving his zone a bit early. He may cover for Myers and Buff but he has to learn how to play in the D zone when the opposition has the puck. I'm not saying I dislike him because I do. I think he will become a great scorer in this league. He is super young and smart too, he'll learn. Oodles of talent and speed.

Ehlers is ok on his zone with the Jets in possession but without the puck, he has a lot to learn.

Trading Myers for Hamonic makes us a better team....Myers' game has improved over the last 5 or so. Wheeler is the best Jet so far this year...Little and Scheif are playing well but nowhere near as consistent as Wheeler. He's in the top 10 in scoring in the league. This guy is a bargain for an AAV of 5.6 per year for 3 more years after this one. Chiarot seemed afraid to make a mistake out there, kind of tentative with the puck. Stu should sit a few games.

Ehlers had an assist on a PP goal. On special teams, there are no plus or minuses given out.

Solid game by the Jets. No reason Helle doesn't get the start on Saturday against the Caps.

None of the RHD have played as well as a LHD.

Speed to burn on that line. It matters more on D than wing.
