2014 5 were traded... 2013 9 were traded... still want to say first rounders aren't traded?

Of those 9, 7 were traded more than once.

So, the teams I use to disprove you can't be counted?

A quick check says 9 1st round picks were traded before the 2015 draft. That's 30%.

You really think the Jets trade as much picks as other teams? What did they give for Harrison? A 6thand the Canes kept 1/3 of his salary? They traded a couple for Fro but made trades and got similar picks back... Look up what the Blues and Preds did the last couple of years not to mention the Rangers.

It's because they try not to trade away draft picks.

They've also drafted Kostalek, Morrissey, Comrie, Helle, Lipon, Olsen, Lodge, Petan, Kichton, Lodge, De Leo, etc... So, ya, draft and develop mentality.

Tell me you didn't just quote Friesen... Would rather see Chiarot than Pardy.....Pardy isn't going to get better and we don't know if Chiarot will or not. Chiarot has to stick to the game he was playing last year and not worry about putting up points and take care of his own end.

If Enstrom is traded, we neeed a LHD or we are left with Stuart, Chiarot, and Pardy as our LHD. Pardy played not bad but he really shouldn't be in the lineup if you ask me. Neither should Stu or Chiarot actually.

Ladd, Myers for a 2nd, Hamonic and Barzal. I know you have to give up something to get something but a big no to letting Meyers go for what the Islanders offer here. I think your underestimating Meyers. I don't believe he's reached his full potential yet. Hamonic is better than Myers and hasn't reached his potential either. We need a true shutdown D man.

Connor and Postma won't get you Hamonic. Myers or Buff plus Postma might.

And I am looking at points in the standings, goals for, goals against... all signs of progress to someone capable of looking at more than where someone finished. It is quite clear that there was progress made before Eakins was hired. Then he took a better on paper roster and got worse finishes than before he arrived including worse goals for and against. Try reading and see what the point is. You have to actually understand the situation before you can discuss it, but apparently your level of assessment begins and ends with what position a team drafted in. Cry me a river....the stats that count are W's and L's............they are on pace for a 55 point season...ya, I know it's early but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them finish in the bottom 5 again...........even with a very good (in my opinion) coach. Progress my azz. Ha, seriously? We're barely even into the season and you're jumping to those conclusions. Hilarious. The fact that we are now competing against teams like St. Louis is certainly progression. Hey, they've progressed....they're on pace for a 56 point season...

Perrault played with some missing grit... Wheelers....wow.... fast and a threat every time he has the puck. Myers played a really smart game. Pavs made the saves when needed. Agree about Trouba's best game of the year. Pardy knows why he is on the ice and does it....clear the front of the net and cover Buff's ass. My first Jets 2.0 in person and I think True North should give me season tickets as I have a 1.000 batting average.......... GO JETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I|'m not going to do it but I can bet most top NHL lists have Buff and Myers ranked ahead of Hamonic. I like his toughness, lotsa minutes and his abilty to be used as a shut down defender... as well as being from St. Malo, MB.
