Staf has been asked to play a different role this season and is playing that role well....he has been one of the more consistent Jets this year. I still find it hard to believe that Cormier is the best we can do from the Moose.

About 40 desonds too much....I just cna't believe that Cormier is our best player to be called up. On the other hand, if the top 9 forwards and top 4 D play the great part of the game, the Flyers should have their hands full. Chiarot looked so good in the pre-season and is just awful in his own zone in the regular season. Not sure whether this is Maurice saying wake the hell up or getting Postma some time for some GMs to check him out. If they are sitting a LHD, why isn't Pardy playing? Maybe there is a trade in the works.

I'd sign Buff for 7x7 in a heartbeat if there were no "no trade clause" or a limited one....he would get more than that on the open market. The Rangers would LOVE to have him, if they could fit him into the cap.

I thought he played well at the end of last season. He sure isn't making a case for a long term contract....looks like he will be signing a bridge deal if I had to bet.

Overall, the D have had a very inconsistent season so far...the most consistent has been Stuart. To me, Chiarot has had a really rough time most games.

Hutch made some HUGE saves to keep it tied. Wow, Ehlers is a dangerous player out there every time the puck is on his stick. Ditto Wheeler. I thought Little, Buff, Scheifele and Staf all played well. Overall, I've really liked Staf's game this year. As for Maurice, he is the single biggest reason the Jets have improved their game since Noel left.

Copp is out for the next two games and the Jets haven't called anyone up to help out? Where is Lipon? Olsen? De Leo? Armia? Petan is going to center Thorbs and Peluso again?

I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out why it was even a penalty. Other than Gallagher selling it with the pinwheel.... Solid hit, comes up with his elbow after the hit which doesn't matter. Maybe that influenced the ref. Buff didn't play well, but what I like is knowing that when Buff, Trouba and Stewart on the ice, the middle of the ice isn't a happy place for opposing players. Exactly...it looks like a follow through on an elbow which is why he got the penalty...I ho nestly can't believe they are wasting time and putting another mark against him....not saying Buff doesn't play with an edge but he threw an honest hit there and if I were a coach, I would coach him to do it again (maybe no follow through). The next ti me something happens he will havae this hearing in his file....BS

I couldn't agree more....I named them in the order I thought that played the poorest first....I like Trouba's game. I hope we see Lipon called up if Copp can't play. Petan between Thorbs and Burmi and let Lipon play with Staf and Lowry.

I thought Trouba was the only D man worth his salt tonight. Hutch was left alone out there and doesn't deserve a game like that but every team is going to have a few of these games every season....the question is how are we going to co me out next game? Buff, Myers, Enstrom, Chiarot and Stuart ALL sucked big time. Have to get ready for the Leafs and sens on back to back games again...

What should we do with them? Is signing them to a bad contract worse than not signing either and losing them for nothing? What term and how much should they be paid? If we sign only one, which should it be? If we trade one, what should we be looking to get back?? A LHD?? Buff AAV - 5.2m Actual salary - 6m Ladd AAV - 4.4m Actual salary - 4.5m I'd like to see them both signed but I think Ladd is easier to replace; however, what does trading do or say to your team? Neither should get more than a 6 year term in my opinion. I wouldn't go higher than 6.25 for Ladd or 7 for Buff.

Salary is more important than cap hit for a budget team. Cap hit really only matters when you are close to the cap which the Jets most certainly are not. That's a pretty near sighted view isn't it....just because we aren't near the cap this year doesn't mean we won't be in the future and possibly the very near future. TUP, I am done with this debate....I have showed you in your own words where you were wrong and you decline to admit it so say what you want, I am done with this debate.

tch tch tch I showed you the post and you still argue? Also, I have a site with the Jets salaries bookmarked and you can change it from salary to cap hit so I know what they make and what the hit is. Cap hit is more important than actual salary.
