No place for a player like that in the league. Somebody should "Bobby Clarke" his ankles.
-
You make me laugh..........let's say Gretzky NEVER ever scored a goal, he would STILL have more points than anyone. Not mentioning he scored more than 150 goals more than anyone.
-
They won't give Hutch the season opener...
-
I'm not sure if it is a crime to do it while crossing into Canada but, in the states if you have a drug in another's container, it is BIG trouble. For instance, you have oxy in a container that says aspirin.
-
So, are we going to see Pavs, Hutch, Pavs, Hutch?
-
I'm surprised Petan is heavier than Ehlers. I also agree with not only taking Buff out but the lightest as well. I am guessing that most if not all teams have a few outliers. Don't want to beat a dead horse but what difference does it make when the guy played. Rocket Richard's heyday was the fifties. Does that make him any less a player? Beliveau? Morenz? Howe? Lafleur? etc... As someone said earlier, Hawerchuk took the all time worst losing team (9 wins) on his back and carried them out of the basement and into the playoffs his first year in the league. He was and continues to be a class act. I can't even ever remember any bad press about him. By the way, nobody should compare Gretzky to Crosby, no comparison.
-
Teemu was with the Jets for 4 years, Hawerchuk was with the Jets for 9. Hawerchuk has 1409 points in 1188 games....Teemu has 1457 points in 1451 games. I can't see how this is even debatable seeing as Teemu was only here for 4 years. It depends how old you are?????????????? If you are younger, Teemu was the better draft pick and if you are older, Hawerchuk was???? Hawerchuk was the face of the franchise for 9 years. Best player to ever don a Jets' uniform...period.
-
Hawwerchuk was the best Jet ever...no comparison to any other player that donned the uniform.
-
Teemu wore 8 after Carlyle retired..... It is okay to give away the #9 but not #10?? gotcha...........
-
No use arguing, we disagree. I would be shocked and saddened to see a #10 on the ice.
-
So, it is okay for someone to wear Hawerchuk's number too?
-
You obviously don't know most people then. Are you too young to remember what he did to put Winnipeg on the map? Also, what about the other players across the league with their numbers retired that have had legal issues, Glen Anderson comes to mind, they shouldn't have their numbers retired either? I'll say it again, if not for Bobby Hull, there may have been no WHA.
-
The Jets have that history and going on hockey alone, it should remain retired.
-
I am serious when i say that #9 should be left alone.... If not for Bobby Hull, the Jets would not have made it into the NHL....there might not have even been a WHA...
-
They should try to keep a .625 winning percentage.
-
Yeah, that'll absolutely help his confidence....good call. We're in the business of winning football games and he's now cost us at least two. **** his confidence. Couldn't agree more. Why are we suddenly treating players like fragile babies? They're professional athletes who are paid to make plays. Lirim's performance was unacceptable. I wouldn't cut him but he needs to take a seat on the bench. If he can't respond from being cut, how will he ever be able to respond with big kicks? They should be bringing in guys who can do the job. Why must we be so invested in a kicker simply because he's Canadian? He's either good enough .. consistent enough .. to do the job or he isn't. Give me one person who can do all three jobs .. I don't care if they are Canadian, American or Martian. Just put the ball through the ******* uprights with some regularity. He did. Last season. More then any other kicker in bomber history percentage wise. He can do the job. Its up to oshea and walters to find out what went wrong. Oh, and we are vested in him because he has shown hes skilled AND Canadian kickers are valuable. Also, we dont want another peredes situation.. Except this one would be worse as we developed him.. How many games do you want him to lose before we do something....this guy had aspirations of making the NFL??????????
-
Even if they make the playoffs, they won't make any noise there.............lose out and get 1st draft pick and clean house at the end of the season....one of the most pathetic seasons I have seen from the BB organization....maybe they should fire MOS and make MB the head coach???????????????
-
I think this will be the starting lineup... Ladd Little Wheeler Perrault Scheifele Ehlers Burmistrov Lowry Stafford Petan Copp Thorbs Enstrom Myers Buff Chiarot Trouba Stuart Pavs Hutch
-
Petan's play was the best by a rookie in TC....nobody came close, not Ehlers, not Raffl, not Lipon...nobody. I think Maurice will still be playing with the line combos for the first few games. Lipon will see time with the Jets this year as will Lipon and possibly Morrissey and Armia.

$9m, 9m, 9m, 7.5m, 5m, 6m, 5m, 4.5m - over half of each season is signing bonus/guaranteed If you want to sign Buff for 8 years, maybe you can get $6.5 mill avg - otherwise, its 8.5 o r 9 million for a shorter contract That is 6.875m per year.
-
I would put him behind Phillips... Hellebuyck Comrie Phillips Olkinuora am I forgetting anyone?

Seabrook signed for 6.875m per year NOT 9m. sheesh

Honestly, I wished they would have traded him before he got here. He didn't want to be a Jet before si I wouldn't let him back. That's me though. I would have taken a 2nd round pick for him but now that he is here, let's be patient and see what he can do in the regular season.
