Ladd will get close to that money and deserves it. It is market value. Why should he play for Winnipeg at a cut rate? I just hope Chevy doens't go longer than six years. Kessler schooled Scheifele near every shift. Sure, he will be 31 this fall but you will get 3 or 4 very good years from himyet. How far would the Ducks have gone without him in the playoffs this year? Also, the Ducks are paying only 3 players more than 5m a year and have over 16m of cap space left!!!!!!! Fleischmann is an unsigned UFA and Hagelin, Wagner and Silfverberg are all unsigned RFAs.
-
7 Little would be in his last year and I assumed he would be moved as he would be asking more than the Jets would offer (5.75 per). Maybe should have been 2018-2019 lineup.
-
Does anyone know when they can start negotiationg with next season's RFAs? Trouba, Scheifele and Lowry to be specific.
-
I can see them being more active during the FA or TD when they are real contenders...not now.
-
The Jets are lucky in that they have a fairly intelligent fan base. We knew the cupboards were bare and it would take Chevy a few years to re-stock. Also, we were just glad to have a team back at first and didn't expect to make the playoffs at first. This gave thet eam time to draft and develop from within. Almost every article you read has the Jets at either #1 or #2 in the prospects list. Times have changed though. We've made the playoffs and now will want more...maybe a win in the first round??

Connor Scheifele Armia Ehlers Petan Wheeler Ladd Lowry Komaschuk Lemieux Copp Lipon Morrissey Trouba Enstrom Myers Niku Kostalek Hellebuyck Comrie

Methinks you have him mixed up with Keith. Seabrook's contract is for 5 million this year with a cap hit of 5.8 million....UFA 2016-2017. Depending on the return, it would be a sound business move to trade him if he will not re-sign a contract the management is agreeable with.
-
The Hawks still have less than a half a million cap space left and the Stars about 7m. They aren't done. Seabrook next? They'd love to trade Bickell. The Stars are picking up half of the cap hit and salary for the 2 players Chicago got. Seabrook would look good in a Jets uni but don't really need another high paid RHD.

Postma signs for 2 years AAV of $887,500. This eats 1 year of UFA status.

Ladd-Little-Wheeler Perreault-Scheifele-Stafford Burmi-Lowry-Armia Thorburn-Petan-Stemp? Halischuk, Peluso Enstrom-Myers Trouba-Buff Chiarot-Stuart Morrissey, Pardy, Harrison Pavelec-Hutchinson-Hellebuyck Would like to see Stu traded.
-
How does everyone see the RW's ranking? Wheeler Stafford Armia Peluso Lipon Komaschuk ???
-
I think Armia makes the team before some of those guys...like Lemieux. Ehlers would be with the Moose next season if he could and so would Lemieux. Petan and Morrissey might be ready right now?
-
oops, forgot about that....wow too bad about him and Ehlers cuz they both need some moose time.
-
He has one year left but I expect to see him with the moose in the fall.
-
I haven't seen it mentioned wrong yet... I was confused by Chara's contract until i googled it but it is a good site for salary info.
-
lol well if CapGeek still existed this would be much easier. I just think that he would have gotten at least 6 mil when you look at Frolik getting 4.3 as a baseline. How much more would someone pay for Ladd, who is obviously the superior player in pretty much every way? You gotta think the price tag is $6 million or more, for at least 5 years. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/cap-central/team.php?team=WIN

I can see the Ducks being interested to be honest and they have the cap room... but I hope he doesn't sign for 7 years. I'd like his caphit hit to be gone in 6 at the most.
-
If anyone out there thinks he is going to sign a 5 year deal, I have some swamp land and a bridge for sale you should buy. 6 years at 8, 8, 7, 6,5, 4. 6 years for 38m and a caphit of 6.333 m. You have a captain and then Trouba or Scheifele will take the C.

1st Line: Ladd - Little - Wheeler 2nd Line: Perreault - Scheifele - Stafford 3rd Line: Ehlers/Lemiex? - Lowry - Armia 4th Line: Petan - Burmi - Thorburn extra: Hali, Peluso, J. C. Lipon, Copp 1st pairing: Enstrom - Myers 2nd pairing: Trouba - Buff 3rd pairing: Chiarot - Postma extras: Stuart, Pardy, Harrison, Morrissey? Goalies: Pavelec, Hutchinson, or Hellebuyck. The best should start.

He scored 62 points playing hurt for a good part of the season while playing a sound defensive game. He is the team captain and and a respected leader around the league. He stays in the game after being hurt.......... Here are some player's salaries that scored 62 points last year. Parise 7.5m Carter 5.25m Spezza 7.5 Ribiero 3.5 Wheeler and Kessel at 61 points pulled in 5.6 and 8 respectively. Eberle at 6 and Vrbata at 5 had 63 points. Which one of these players are as defensively sound as Ladd? He would get 7x7 on the open market next year. 6.5 for 6, let's get it done and move on to Buff.
-
Lawless said 6ish and that he would get 7 x 7 on the open market next year. Get him signed already...39 for 6 years?
-
6.75 per year for 5 years is good. Give Buff 31m for 4 years or 7.75 per.
-
But Burmi coming back is okay? Just asking...
-
No Semin, please. What about Oduya? If Morrisey doesn't make the team, are we happy with the LHD we have? We still have 14 m of cap space. 2 years for 3 per? Is Stempniak going to re-sign?
