  1. Oilets have played one less game than the Jets.
  2. Thorburn needs an assist for a Gordie Howe hat trick!
  3. Helle coming up with some big saves tonight.
  4. The "Thorbs" type of players is going the way of the Dodo bird. Anyone else besides KBF think Enstrom hasn't been playing that well lately?
  5. https://www.nhl.com/jets/video/pregame--paul-maurice/t-277437442/c-47284503 I found it...Maurice seems to be in a better mood....
  6. No pre-game interviews by the coach or players?
  7. No, no. Matt Murray HELPED the Pens win the cup last year and he is younger than Helle so don't go spouting off about Helle being young. Vasilevskiy is only 22. Regardless of age, he has to be better. So does Hutch. So does anyone they dress between the pipes. I'd like to see one of them get a non-career threatening injury for 3-4 weeks and let Comrie have a kick at it . Whether he is good enough or not, take a look. Same as Roslo, take a 5 game or so look. We aren't making the playoffs. Here's a little math I did...here are the points these teams would finish with at today's pace... Chi 107 St L 105 MN 101 SJ 97 ANA 97 LA 91 EDM 90 Cal 90 NSH 85 Dal 79 Wpg 77 Van 76 AZ 70 Avs 66 All of the teams in the East are on pace to finish above the Jets (Buffalo is the only team under .500) so we would be 5th last in the lottery if you included LV in the draft order at 3rd.
  8. too slow
  9. Matt Murray is only 22, so what? I agree about Hutch but someone like Miller taking 50 games this year and 30 next year might have been better. Who knows? The stats prove the goaltending has to be better though. Calgary only has 5 more points than us and Edmonton has only 33 points.
  10. Where did I say it was the biggest problem???? I have said all along that injuries have been the biggest problem. Stick up for them all you want but they need to be better...plain and simple. If I can't watch a game I PVR all of them. I usually watch each game twice. Have only watched last night's once but from what I saw, goalies need to be better.
  11. I think Kompon is in charge of the PP. I remember Vincent taking the heat for it last season.
  12. I think you mean assists...
  13. I couldn't agree with this more. Not gonna talk about Staf or Thorbs but MP has been a disappointment this year and so has Burmi, Buff, and both goalies. Wheeler some nights has had bad games too. I honestly didn't think they would get in and if they did it would be squeaking in in the last week. Connor, Morrissey, Laine, Tanev, Armia, Ehlers, Copp, Dano, Petan, and Helle had VERY few games under their belts. Thats 10 players and I might have missed some. Most of those players have played well though and I think it is the injuries that have set us back the most this year and it has really hampered the development of some players. Honestly, if the team isn't decimated by injuries, how many games does Thorbs get?
  14. I am not sure why all there is all this hate for Stanley. Is he Maurice's nephew or something? Juulsen is a year older and Stanley was drafted right where he was predicted to go. Is he a bad player because he didn't get picked for the team? Nobody expects this guy in the NHL in the near future do they?
  15. Helle first and Hutch 2nd Games played 22 at 10th and 13 at 36th Win percentage .526 at 35th .333 at 43rd sv% .908 at 33rd .896 at 43rd GAA 2.73 at 32nd 3.14 at 41st Shutouts 2 at 14th and 1 at 27th These are some miserable stats for our goalies. I'm not saying the biggest problem with this team is goaltending because I think injuries are but we need to get better goaltending. For me, Hutch can't be gone soon enough. It seemed like he was playing like an allstar until they got that first one by him. He didn't even see it and had no chance on it but his play went downhill from there. Let Comrie and Connor decide who the starter should be.
  16. Why? Where did you expect them to be this year at this time? In the playoff hunt?
  17. Now that I dig around a bit more it seems that the 93 goals they have allowed ties them with Dallas for the most goals allowed in the league. It's okay though, Goalie says our goaltending is fine. Anyone think they keep Deadmonton under 3 goals?
  18. The Jets and the Stars have let in the most goals of anybody in their conference. It seems to me like they let in WAY too many goals. You really should check some statistics before you start beaking off. 93 goals in 31 games for a GAA of 3.00.
  19. the team house a .904 save percentage. We could get that with pavelec.
  20. It also it doesn't help to let in one soft goal every game.
  21. Goalie said they would be a bubble team making the playoffs as the last wild-card team.
  22. Connor has a goal and an assist in two games with the Moose so far.
  23. Quit turning a blind eye to below-average goaltending.
  24. Better goaltending wouldn't hurt.
  25. I said two weeks ago that they weren't going to make the playoffs.
