If I were Chevy, I would make a deal around picking a pre-determined player plus getting LV to take a D man he wants and then sending something their way. just an example....they decide on Lowry (or MP or Dano or Armia or ?). They pick one of the Isles D men left unprotected (de Haan?) and we send some picks like a 2nd in 2018 and a 3rd in 2017 and someone like Lipon or Kosmo or Olsen. We don't lose a D man and get a D man, they get some picks and a player for their farm team and a forward they want from the expansion draft and everyone is happy.

I'd waive him. We can afford to lose him. Play him and send Dano or Tanev down?? not a chance...both deserve to play up here. Then there is Staf. You know Maurice will play him so will we see the youngsters that are playing well go back down? Some big decisions coming up for management.

None of the forwards got 20 minutes last night so they should have some legs still. Where does Trouba fit??? With Chiarot and on the PK?

^^^^^^^^^^^and that leaves Copp not even dressed... safe to say that Thorbs and Burmi are gone by the start of next season and if Matthias is still here after the LV draft, I'd move him. But that's me, I'd have moved Staf before the year started and Burmi too. Lots to look forward to in the not too distant future.

What about all the hits from behind that went uncalled in the last 4 or so minutes? Petan is playing well and is surprising me but I wonder what he looks like away from an elite talent like Wheeler....would love to see him center Armia/Connor or Armia/Perreault.

I honestly think that Comrie can be a better goalie than Hellebuyck and those two are the future.

I'd start Helle and give Hutch the next game but I don't think the coach will.

Too bad they got that late goal...Helle didn't deserve it...made some timely saves tonight. Morriszey sure is playing a good all around game. Enstrom was good and so was Wheeler who makes everyone around him better. Dano was his isual sparkplug self. Tanev too.

I believe the coach and players ALWAYS try to win games and it is more or less the GM that tries to tank or not win games. Look at the Jets toward the end of the season last year. edit...how much of a surprise would it be if the got the last wildcard spot....it wouldn't surprise me that much.
