Phillips develops better and gets better coaching with the Moose. Plus, being in the same team as the Jets it is a better experience for him. He could still get 30 starts with the Moose and next year he would be the starter. Glad Kasdorf went to Buffalo and not Phillips.

Seriously though, Phillips has a 7-0 record and Berdin was just named goalier or player of the month in USHL. Comrie is 3-2 with a .919 sv%. It would be nice to not have Pavs and assign Phillips to the Moose to back up Comrie and take over next year when Comrie moves up.

Petan needs to impress on this call up...the most important few weeks of his career might be in front of him. Play him with Armia and Laine or Connor. don't play him on the 4th line.

The 4th line deserved more time... Maurice was switching up lines all game and I couldn't get a handle on them for most of the game. Not good...Laine, Melchiori, Chiarot, Postma, Burmi and Hutch (.875 sv%).

Armia and Perreault injured....did anyone see MP get hurt? I like the guy but he sure misses a lot of time to injuries. Armia missing time will be tough to replace the grit and playmaking he brings every night.

Good comeback to tie the game and get a point but we gotta start playing the game in the first period.

He has GOT to be in line for a big raise....no way the Caps keep all their FAs this summer.

He doesn't want to break up Laine and Armia....I am okay with this line. If we can call up another player from the Moose, why don't we? Give Roslo or De Leo or Lemieux or someone a couple of bigger paydays and let them get a sniff of what it is like in the big leagues. I would call up Roslo and see what he does against 3rd and 4th line centers. A three game road trip would be the ideal time to do it. So, what are the lines?

Alzner is really someone I would like to see play for us. A very good shutdwon D man that shoots left and doesn't miss many games. We could probably get him for 6 x 5m ish and he would step right in to the 1LHD on the Jets. He is 28 years old so I wouldn't want to see more than a 6 year contract.

Staf Myers Bogo and Kane all not playing...

Approaching 34 and if his play hasn't dropped off too much I would offer him a two year deal...something like 2.9 m per year.
