Laine is a teenager but who else is in the top 6? Connor is a teenager but not sure if he cracks top 6 at the beginning of the season. Hopefully by the end of the season he will.

I agree with a lot of this except Morrissey as the 7D. No way do they press box Morrissey. He has earned a starting role on the team. I believe they keep Dano around until Matthias gets back. I wonder if Lowry sees much press box if his pre-season play doesn't improve? I like Armia playing with Laine and Little. ESW is a given and Maurice has been saying this from the end of last season. He also said that eventually Ehlers should go back to his RW spot. He will probably shelter Connor a bit on the 3rd but that line too has so me potential. I really want to see what Laine an dConnor can do on opposite sides on the PP.

I think Tanev has shown more than Dano but I think Tanev goes down first. Same goes for De Leo and Petan. We need D help.

Wow, I am glad Roslo earned a spot with the Moose...thought he might go back to junior. Lipon, Kichton and Howden need to clear waivers but can't see that being a problem. 21 forwards left and two are injured so you would think 5 would be sent down at final cuts. 12 playing +5 sent down +2 in pressbox +2 injured. De Leo, Olsen, Peluso, Petan and Tanev would be my guess to go to the Moose. When the two injured come back Lemieux will go to Moose and Dano will go down. 9 D men left so you would think 2 would be sent down and I think that will be Strait and Melchiori. Who knows with our 3 goalies but I have a suspicion that Helle is going down.

He was signed partly because of the expansion draft and his PK ability. I really hope he doesn't play anywhere near the 3rd line. Trade him and Staf (two players impeding the younger players' TOI) at the TD and leave Lowry unprotected instead. I can't see how the Jets will justify sending Connor down. He has to stay. he will learn the D game as Ehlers did and inprove over the year. Been saying all along, imagine PL and KC on the wings on their off side on the PP.....scary good. MP at center and Armia or Staf on the wing with Connor on the 3rd line to start the year. Morrissey and KC have made the team. Petan will be one of the later cuts as will De Leo and sadly Tanev. What to do with the goalies though? That is a huge question and I bet they start off with Pavs and Hutch....I just get that felling. There are two games left and you would think Helle and Pavs will get the starts. I would honestly send Pavs down to back up Comrie. He is not in the long range plans of this team. Pavs and Trouba to ? for ?.

He actually clears the zone as good as any D man on the team. He doesn't win many battles in the corners though.

if they keep 3 goalies, that takes one away from how many they can keep up....in other words, you can't keep 1 D and 3 forwards if you are keeping 3 goalies...Also, what about Matthias? I think Goalies first 3 lines are what Maurice will ice.

I just can't see him making the team any time soon with the players ahead of him. Even De Leo is having a better camp if you ask me.

I've never been big on him but his junior numbers kinds scream at you. Wrapping him up in a trade wouldn't bother me.

Streit, MDZ (re-signed), Hagg for Trouba (re-signed) and Lemieux. Streit (for one year) MDZ and Enstrom as our starting LHD. MDZ re-signed for four years for a 2LHD would be nice. Hagg is going to play in the NHL in a couple years. Philly drops close to 10m in salary so they have room to pay Trouba and Lemieux. Enstrom Buff MDZ Myers Streit Morrissey Streit is gone in a year and Enstrom in two. Morrissey slides over to the left side and Hagg starts in two.

ESW Buff Connor MP Hutch Enstrom all looked good out there. Connor gets a goal from a spot where he scored a lot of goals last season. Dano looked to get pushed around rather easily a few times out there tonight. I think he starts on the Moose. Petan starts on the Moose. Copp didn't hurt himself. Chiarot did...horrible game. I hope the Jets sit Staf for a game or two.

Armia is a smart player and Maurice sees it even if you don't. He will make the team. What you would see if I had last say... We need a D man that knows how to play D and keep the front of the net clear. Myers should but doesn't and Buff is the only one that does this. Trouba can but he isn't here.

Armia and Lowry signed 2 year "show me" contracts. Armia is showing them but Lowry, not so much.

Except I don't hate Myers. I take him for what he is. A smooth skating BIG D man that doesn't have a high hockey IQ and plays way too soft.

I don't disagree that Copp is playing better/smarter than Lowry but for whatever reason, the Jets are high on him and he won't be put on waivers. They don't want to lose him. I'd trade him in a package with Burmi and Trouba. Throw in a 1st and get Lindholm.
