  2. Trouba for Murray... Trouba and Dano for Lindholm... Trouba for Werenski... Trouba and Dano for Parayko... Trouba for Michael Del Zotto and Sanheim... Trouba for Muzzin and a 3rd rounder... Trouba and Dano and Armia for Fleury and Aho... Trouba and Dano and Armia and a 1st for OEL...
  3. Lawless says "Trouba isn't going to come to camp and fight it out for the 2RHD position and that doesn't sound right" but is he battling for 2RHD or was he already inked in at 1LHD? edit... one could also argue Trouba was mismanaged by being paired with Stuart for so long.
  4. Buff and Trouba played well together. I think Trouba=Murray. Trouba has more of an attitude on the ice and plays a meaner game but Murray makes fewer mistakes than Trouba and is positionally better. I'd trade them straight up because Trouba has asked for a trade. I think it's a hell of a trade.
  5. they need a RHD but what have they got that suits the Jets? I'd take Nurse or Klefbom in a larger trade............RNH too. Nurse/Klefbom and RNH for Trouba + ?
  6. I think Trouba is headed East if traded. Philly, Canes, Rangers and Isles could be trade partners. If he is traded for a LHD, I hope it is an "exempt from the draft" one.
  7. Those draft picks have the potential to be REALLY high draft picks though.
  8. Because he will bring back more if he is signed. I mean, if someone offers him 8m a year the Jets will take the compensation but why do you think he hasn't been offered one?
  9. if he signs an offer sheet the Jets will match it
  10. Wheeler Buff Helle Connor Copp Lowry Stafford Myers were all bornin the USA...
  11. Buff Morrissey Enstrom Myers Chiarot Stuart and Postma as our D corps...
  12. I'd do Goalie's trade but I doubt the Oilers would.
  13. that hasn't got a future as a center in Deadmonton? McJesus and Draisaitl will be the 1st and 2nd Centers for years for the Oilers.
  14. Trouba will attract a lot of attention. Look what the Oilers gave up for a 2D.
  15. If Chevy trades him, I think he will get fair market value.
  16. You don't even know if he has been offered an offer sheet. I think it is the only move his agent had. Chevy wasn't bending over so he is trying to force his hand. Wrong move in my opinion. Hanifin and Staal for trouba and a 1st.
  17. Both the offensive and defensive coordinators have done a very good job this year
  18. I would trade Myers far ahead of Trouba.
  19. The team has been making great adjustments after the halftime break all season. Too bad they can't come out like that in the first quarter
  20. Hamonic to Winnipeg?
  21. Patrik Laine was selected second overall by the Winnipeg Jets capping what was a truly remarkable season for the tall, dynamic and electrifying Finn. The pile of accolades that Laine stacked last season is almost surreal. In the Liiga (Finland's elite men's league), Laine won rookie of the year after compiling the most goals by a rookie, the most assists by a rookie, the most playoff goals by a rookie, was given the Jari Kurri Award as the top performer in the Liiga playoffs, and took home the Liiga championship. In international play, Laine won a gold medal with Finland in the World Junior Championship, scored that tournament's most goals and was named to the All-Star team. At the World Hockey Championships, playing against some of the world's best players, Laine set the record for the highest-scoring 18-year-old in tournament history, was named MVP, the Best Forward, an All-Star, and won a silver medal. His performance on the world stage last season was truly amazing to watch, and there is little chance that he fails to carry that pace into the NHL this year. His shot gets compared to some of the true snipers in the game, but what is equally impressive is his ability to play all over the ice in the offensive zone, finding the small gaps and reading the play so well that he is consistently at the right place to make a play. He is also a threat in transition and although his defense lacks polish, he plays with the kind of determination that is indicative of quality future development. For now, Jets fans will be thrilled to watch Laine roam the offensive zone and light up the game every time he touches the puck. by Brian Fogarty...
  22. I'd be willing to take on that bet.
