Seems to me that the BB are much better at reacting to what the other teams are doing....they came out in the 2nd half and almost shut them down completely in their building. Great job by DC and our OC too really. Bring on Saskabush!!!!!!!!!

I can dream can't I? These are trades I would make. Most of them the Jets would make but the other team wouldn't....haven't figured that out yet? I'm kinda biased for the Jets. Here's another one...Dano, Armia, Petan, Lowry, Copp, Tanev, Matthias, Chiarot, Stuart, Postma, or Lipon. Any one of these for Simon Depres. I think it would take one of the first 4 mentioned and then that might not be enough. I don't want to see Trouba gone and I know he would have to be going back if Lindholm ever came this way; however, don't tell me Chevy wouldn't include a 1st round draft pick in a deal that would acquire the likes of Lindholm...especially if we are one or two players away from where he wants us to be. As a matter of face, when we are in that position, it would surprise me if Chevy didn't wrap up some prospects for a very good player.

switch Armia and Dano and I could see this.

491k for Prongor and 20% of Bolland's contract........I think. Cap hits are way more and 7.5 cap hit for Datsyuk but zero actual salary. 2.7m this year and 3.2m next season for Ribiero and Vermette. Lots of money for people never seeing the ice but they are building a great team by the looks of it. A conditional 2nd and a 3rd for Crouse? wow...
-
I think this is VERY close to what Maurice ices but I don't think Copp is in the PB.
-
Zona moved up to 16 overall and picked up Chychrun in that deal too don't forget.
-
Yup. I just think the team would be better off with him on the farm or not in the organization at all. Comrie and Helle needs to see a lot of ice time. 3rd at the TD?
-
Panthers trade Bolland, Crouse to Coyotes for two draft picks. Panthers send an 11th overall and a cap dump to the desert for 2nd and 3rd round picks. Great move by the Coyotes.
-
Myers, Lemieux and a 1st for Lindholm. Sign Lindholm to at least 7 years and we have a great set of D men going forward........ we'd have to talk Enstrom into being open for the ED though. A free case of Skoal or something.
-
Refusing. I honestly don't think he can. He would have to clear waivers is all and if we lose him, we send that team a BIG bottle of scotch. If he refused, I think the Jets have the right to suspend him without pay.

Yakapov Ryan Murray Alex Galchenyuk Griffin Reinhart Morgan Rielly Hampus Lindholm Mathew Dumba Derrick Pouliot Jacob Trouba Slater Koekkoek The top 10 draft picks of 2012.....the bolded are not defensemen. wow

I dislike both of those. Kucerov for Trouba and I think Burmi is good value but do we need another winger? He has 130 points in the last two seasons (2nd and 3rd in the NHL), is only 23 and will get a very nice contract. I agree a lot with what the lastwordonsports article has to say. I have been saying all along that this deal goes down to the end. Chevy is a hell of a poker player and in the end we probably see a 7 year deal. How late did Bogo's and Kane's deal go? The potential of Trouba exceeds all our other D. He could very well be a 1D. He is a legit 2D right now. He'll be signed. I would give Lemieux, Armia, Dano, Petan or a like player with Trouba for Lindholm if we re-signed Lindholm for at least 7 years. It is an over-pay but it would be better for the team in the long run. After Morrissey and Stanley, our LHD prospects really drops off. I need a fix and the World Cup of Hockey can't come soon enough.

Difference of opinions on this 19 year old I guess. USHL player of the year and then goes out the next year and blows the doors off of ALL the competition in the NCAA. The fact he didn't win the Hobey Baker award is a travesty and if Eichel hadn't won it the year before as a rookie, Connor would have won it. He will get 15+ goals if he plays the full season. Laine Little Wheeler Connor Scheif Ehlers lines to finish the season and everyone is playing his position.
-
don't get me wrong I don't want to see anyone make the team if they shouldn't. As far as never having seen him play against NHL players before I could argue that you've never seen him play against NHL players before either so what makes you think he won't make the team? Also besides all the skills he has most analysts say he has lots of lower body strength. The guy can pass shoot skate Like the Wind and supposedly has a very high hockey IQ. Besides his size which I believe is about 6 feet and 180 pounds why do you not think he will make the team? He'll have to have a very very good training camp to make the team because it can be sent down where are some players like burmistrov and armia need to clear waivers but I am confident that he plays at least 60 games for the Jets this year and wouldn't be surprised at all if he starts with the Jets and is never sent to the AHL ever. As a matter of fact that's what I see happening in my opinion.
-
Nothing wrong with that. Let them both expire the same year.
-
I don't agree. How many minutes did Scheif get his first year? Would they have been better spent on the Moose getting more time? He is ready. He won't finish the year on the third. He will finish it playing with Ehlers or Wheeler as the other winger. Laine Little Wheeler Connor Scheif Ehlers to end the year.
-
8 years is the best bang for the buck and he would finish his deal at 30. If you re-sign him at 28 it is probably a deal that carries him until he is 35ish. I'd rather his deal ended at 30. Also, even if he only tops out as a 2nd pairing D man, 5.75m for a 2nd pairing D man isn't that bad. Myers is 5.5m per year and he is 2nd pairing. I'd say Trouba is already as good or better than Myers. Thirty-two would be almost ideal but 30 is a good range to end a contract on. Wheeler will be 33, Little will be 31, Perreault will be 33, Scheif will be 31, etc...
-
Yup, trade him. He is at worst, a top 4 D man at 22 and we should trade him.
-
I would like to see him sign for 8 years and if I were chevy, I wouldn't settle for anything less than 7 years. In 6 years Trouba will only be 28 years old. 7 x 5.5m or 8 x 5.75m.

Hutch is okay as a backup..........Hopefully, Comrie is the backup goalie next year (17-18). Comrie is well regarded by most hickey analysts and some have him as high as the 5th best prospect. In my opinion, Helle needs a minimum of 42 games this year but I would hope to see him play 46-48. Not enough to burn him out but enough to grade him on a fairly heavy workload.
-
You misunderstood or maybe I didn't say it properly. For instance, Larkin from the Red Wings scored 45 points and Connor scored 71 I think...big difference in points there. He has world class speed, a legit one timer and and passes as well as he shoots. Is he defensively sound? No. He will learn that and play the 3rd line until PM is comfortable with moving him up the lineup. He is more ready than Ehlers was at the start of last season.
-
If that's true, we are good to go but I would still send Pavs down. It must have been games played by D or forwards that i got mixed up with.
-
24:20 for Laine.
