He outplayed other players that started in the NHL straight out of the NCAA.
-
If you send him to the Moose he won't have enough games played in the last 2? seasons.
-
Sending him to the Moose would be a mistake............he is ready.
-
Monahan is a very good player and probably worth what he got. He scored over 120 points the last two seasons, didn't he?........Scheif's deal is a bargain in comparison though.
-
Who would you make available for the expansion draft?????? Helle? Hutch has to play so many games and Pavs is an UFA.
-
Pavs has no future with this club.....none. Send him to the Moose to be a backup to Comrie.
-
Who starts the season and/or gets more games? Pavs? Helle? Hutch? I think Hutch has to play so many games this season to be eligible for the expansion draft so do they send Helle down? I think Helle is ready and Pavs should be sent down. Give Hutch enough games to be eligible for the draft and give Helle the rest. Say goodbye to the mistake that is Pavelec.
-
Wow, that makes the Scheifele deal look like a bargain.

If Connor plays the season with the Jets, I would make you almost any bet he pots more than 10 goals. Laine on the LW and Connor on the RW on the PP should get them each 7 or 8 goals a piece. Not saying Connor is going to be 1PP but if he were, he's get about 20 goals for the season. He was head and shoulders above everyone else in the NCAA and people think he starts with the Moose? Really?????? So, if he plays the season and you want to make a friendly wager (example.... loser has to wear a Kane Jersey in public), let me know.

If we hadn't won a lottery pciuk, everyone would be talking about how Connor is going to light it up this year in the NHL but then we drafted Laine....that doesn't make Connor worse, he is still the same player....the same player that was the best player, as a rookir, in all of NCAA last year. he is ready people deal with it.....you guys want him on the Moose even if he is ready for the NHL by the sounds of it....sending him to the Moose isn't gonna happen.

Everyone is crazy over Vesey (the guy that won the award that Connor should have). Kyle Connor is a better player than Jimmy Vesey. He scored 71 points last season. Connor outscored Vesey by 25 points last season. 25 points total is a pretty good year for most players~30 points was enough to get a player into the top 100 nationally in scoring. Connor's +/- rating was 23 better than Vesey. Yes, Connor will have lessons to be learned on D but he will learn them with the Jets. He is NHL ready.

Connor plays for the Jets. Too good not to.
-
Now you want Staf on the team? Hard to keep track. Most analysts are calling for Laine to get 25+ goals.....Ehlers scored 15 last year so I'd expect Connor to get about the same amount or so.
-
Where are you getting your stats from? Are they in metric? One 23 year old, one 24 year old, and one 25 year old. Larkin 19 Gaudreau 21 Eichel 18 McDavid 18 Panarin 23 Stone 21 Reinhart 19 Forsberg 20 Hoffman 25 Lee 24
-
I would expect approximately 25g from Laine and 15g from Connor...oh look, 40g between the two of them and Staf/Ladd had only 38g. Ladd's and Staf's goals (if he is moved) will be replaced by the youth's goals, count on it.
-
Actually, it will be for millions of dollars. If you are Trouba, would you play if you are only insured for 1 million dollars? Not likely... He blows out an ACL or something and if his career could be finished then a million dollars is not near enough.
-
I didn't say Laine and Connor would put up 40 goals, I said Laine and Connor along with the extra goals Ehlers, Armia and Dano will score will make up the 38 goals it they will do it easily. I think Laine and Connor will score 30 between them. I don't think they will make the playoffs and if they do, it will be by just getting in. Let's not forget that Scheif will probably up his points this year as well.
-
Those goals (Ladd 17g by the way) will be more than replaced by Ehlers' scoring more and Laine's and Connor's goals. Yes, Armia has to score more this year too. If Dano makes the team, he will also help in the goal scoring department. Also, I expect our PP to produce more so there will be more goals to be had there as well. You don't think Connor and Laine along with the more goals from Ehlers, Armia and Dano will make up the 38g we would lose? Armia and Dano had 4 a piece and Ehlers had 15. Those three will score more than a combined 23g this year I am sure.
-
Probably future salary not only present so it would be a lot.
-
If he isn't on the roster, his goals will more than be replaced by Laine.

http://www.arcticicehockey.com/2016/8/17/12515556/the-sleeper-must-awaken This guy seems to think that Armia should be RW and Laine on LW on the same line......I think a Laine Little Armia line would be very good as you have two that are very D minded while all are O minded...this would be an interesting lineup... E-S-W Laine- Little- Armia Connor- MP- Dano Matthias -Lowry- Staf/Thorbs we'll probably see... ESW Laine Little Staf Connor Perreault Armia/Dano Burmi Lowry Dano/Armia Thorbs----->Pressbox

He might start somewhere else but he is behind a LOT of other guys so the Moose it is...he was probably holding out for more farm money.

Their D has no experience besides Hainsey (last year of deal) and Faulk. Canes RHD besides Faulk... Ryan Murphy 124 games over 3 seasons, Brett Pesce 69 games and Matt Tennyson 60 games over 3 seasons are their RHD. Their left side isn't much better after Hainsey... Slavin 63 games, Hanifin 79 games so, ya, not much experience after faulk and Hainsey and Hainsey is gone after this year. They have plenty of cap space for Myers' 5.5m too. The future? Staal is 27 turning 28. Little is 28 turning 29. What I meant by a 2C for the future is Little is only signed for two more years and Staal is signed for 7. Staal is a great skater and should be the 2C for about 5 more years at a very high level. The lineup could be ... Laine Scheif Ehlers Connor Staal Wheeler Perreault Little Armia Lemieux Copp Dano Fleury- Buff Enstrom- Trouba Morrissey- Postma/Chiarot (I'd trade for Ville Pokka after the expansion draft) Helle Comrie
-
You are right, we don't need a center right now but what about the future? Roslovic is the only one in the organization right now that has a chance at 2C and he isn't even guaranteed to play C in the NHL. He might come in as a winger. It would also open up the possibilty of one day trading Little for a top LHD as well. Fleury, Morrissey and someone like Fowler would be nice on theleft side.
