  1. and no, I don't want Hamhuis. Panthers just traded a 2nd LHD. Shattenkirk is a quality D man and he is said to be on the market. They get traded, they just cost a lot.
  2. good, they can have him for that kinda cash. Okposo is a RWer and Connor is a LWer...you know that right? How many RWers can a team have? Okposo Ehlers Wheeler Staff Armia Dano Thorbs (you know he isn't going anywhere except maybe the pressbox). I'd sooner go after a player that will take Little's place in 2 or 3 years than Okposo.
  3. Would you be okay with someone coming out of the AHL at 23 or 24 and winning it?
  4. Perreault mentioned that he was told he would be playing LW this upcoming season...I'd like to see him center Ehlers and Armia. on a sidenote, Maurice said it would be hard to not put the ESW line together again but at some time, Ehlers will go back to RW and Scheif will be playing with Laine. I'd love to see Connor Scheif and Laine on a line lighting it up for the next decade. in no order... Connor Scheif Laine Ehlers Perreault Wheeler Lowry Little Armia Burmi Copp Dano
  5. Polak shoots right. Okposo would be fine with me if Armia was taken in the expansion draft and Stafford was traded. That would leave Scheif Little Wheeler Okposo Ehlers Connor Laine Perreault Dano Lowry Copp Burmi and Thorbs.......if Staf and Armia are here, then what? I don't think we need top six help with ESW, Perreault, Little, Laine, Connor, etc... and Okposo is a top 6 player. Also, Okposo would have to sign 5x5 for me to be okay with it. He is already 28 and I don't want to be giving him big bucks when he is 34-35. Don't get me wrong, I like him as a player but I would rather see Chevy spend 4.5-6m per year on an established LHD than a RWer.
  6. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet but our buddy, Evander Kane, is being investigated for assaulting two females...
  7. His scouts told him to move up and grab Stanley so he did. They didn't think he would be there at 22. Those of you that think he could have got him for less.... do you really think he gave more than Philly asked for? He also mentioned he was trying to do something earlier but those trades scuttled his plans.
  8. He will be wanting 6 million over 6 years and there's no way the Jets give him that and there's no way he is worth it either
  9. Ehlers Little Wheeler Connor Scheifele Laine Perreault Lowry Armia (would look a lot better with a more O-minded center) Burmi Copp Dano Pressbox --->Thorburn 1st call ups ----------> Petan Lemieux Enstrom Trouba Morrissy Buff Chairot Myers Pressbox --->Stuart Postma 1st call up ------------> Melchiori Helle Pavs
  10. De Leo?
  11. reliable?
  12. I'd rather have Okposo than Lucic....I'd rather have anyone than Lucic.....actually, I wouldn't want him on or near the Jets. I really like Okposo but Wheeler, Ehlers, Staf, Armia, Dano and Thorbs are all right wingers....do we need another one costing as much as Okposo will. I think Chevy was in contact to find out the cost but if he didn't, he isn't doing is job. Signing Okposo doesn't leave LA much wiggle room either never mind next off-season when Toffoli and a few others become RFAs.
  13. Murray is an UFA in two years and has to be protected but I like picking up Werenski... Trouba and 2nd overall for Werenski, Gabriel Carlsson, Wennberg and 3rd overall. Trade 1st rounders with Vancouver and they also add Virtanen and a 2nd from this year. Jets lose 2nd overall and Trouba for Virtanen, Werenski, Carlsson, Wennberg and 5th overall where Tkachuk or PLD should still be available and 35th overall.
  14. Morrissey does not have to be protected for the 2017 expansion draft.
  15. http://jetsnation.ca/2016/6/22/report-jets-prospect-jack-roslovic-to-defect-to-ohl
  16. Thorbs doesn't qualify so I would substitute Petan in his place.
  17. thanks
  18. no
  19. wouldn't a year later mean Enstrom would be off the books or would Morrissey have to be protected...I do agree that a year later would be harder for the Jets though. Ehlers, Petan and Comrie would not be exempt.........not sure about Morrissey.
  20. Not sure what you man here....I have listed 7 forwards....you mean one or both should be unprotected and someone i didn't mention should be protected?
  21. I agree with most of this but I'd ask Enstrom to waive his NMC for the draft. Helle Buff Trouba Myers Scheif Wheeler Little Lowry Armia Dano Copp. Thorbs and Burmi and Stuart and Postma and Hutch fill the requirements. I wouldn't protect Perreault because he becomes a free agent a couple of weeks after the draft. If you want to re-sign him, have a deal in place and the day he becomes an UFA, he signs immediately. Vegas won't take him if he is to become an UFA a couple of weeks after they draft him. Vegas will have lots of D men to choose from, they won't take Enstrom and you can always cut a deal with them and send a pick to them for not taking him. You can also cut a deal that says "you draft that LHD and not take Enstrom from us and we will give you a 2nd round pick (or whatever) for that LHD"....it has been done before.
  22. I think they will try to move Pavs too but i don't think I will. If they lose Hutch, they pick up another vet that fits the bill. I think Chevy asks Enstrom to waive his NMC for the expansion draft. That or someone is dealt.
  23. No way does Chevy leave Trouba, Buff or Myers unprotected.
  24. Arizona has about 9 RFAs to sign and about 6 UFAs they may or may not re-sign.........they'll have no problem hitting the floor.
  25. Arizona will have no problem making the floor.........it is my understanding that Hutch has to clear waivers whether he is on a one-way or two-way contract. He'll clear waivers.
