  1. Does anyone think Chevy pulls off a trade on or before the draft...I think he will but it won't be a big one. Maybe trade Stafford (doubt it) or Burmi. I'd like to see him get an LHD but I doubt he will.
  2. Not really because the draft is before they become free agents so their salary would have counted towards the 25%....that's how I understood it anyway.
  3. Roslovic, Dano, 22nd overall and our 1st rounder next year. CBK gets Dano who they never ever wanted to trade and Roslovic who is a Columbus boy and 2 first rounders. Too much or not enough? I'd do this trade.
  4. What would it take to pry Ryan Murray from Columbus? Start with Dano and Roslovic???
  5. I am going to assume that the following players make the team and Laine is drafted and makes the team. Any players missing have been traded or on the Moose such as Peluso, Burmi etc... Ehlers Scheif Wheeler Laine Little Stafford Connor Perreault Armia Copp Lowry Dano Pressbox --->Thorburn Trouba Buff Enstrom Myers Stuart Chiarot/Postma Helle Pavs
  6. Laine makes the team for the World Cup of Hockey....what more can he do in one season as an 18 year old?
  7. Let's just say each side has a long memory. Pokka would have been a nice pick up...we really don't have a 3RHD unless you consider Postma one. The other 3 are better than a 3rd pairing. Pokka would have filled that spot nicely while learning the NHL game. It sure would be nice if they cleared up the expansion question(s). Just move the Coyotes to Vegas already. I couldn't agree more on Burmi and I know people are going to say, "he picked up his game in the last 15 or so games". With the talent we have coming up and some players needing to clear waivers that wouldn't, I hope he isn't on the Jets this fall. His PK time can be filled in by Armia and/or Copp. He is a 4th liner that should go to other young players. Trade him and Staf and Thorbs somewhere and clean out some dead weight. Staf will be on the team pushing every young player vying for a RW spot down a line. What is he, as a vet, going to teach the kids? How to disappear for games on end? How to diminish your linemates potential? His goal scoring will be replaced by Laine next season, we don't need him.
  8. Ehlers should have made the team easily.
  9. Wheeler and Buff for Team USA Scheif, Trouba and Wheeler for Team NA Pavelec for Czech team Laine count? Telegin count?
  10. Scheif and Trouba get named to Team North America. Ehlers does't get named to Team Europe? Really? Isn't Maurice an assistant coach for that team?
  11. So would I be but not everyone makes the team.... Little Wheeler Scheif Ehlers Perreault Staf and Laine and Connor will be on the team....that leaves 4 positions and a press box seat or two for the forwards. Lowry Armia Copp Dano Thorbs Peluso Lemieux Petan Burmi Tanev Lipon ... did I miss anyone? That's 11 players. For sake of argument, let's say Lipon Peluso Tanev go to the Moose. That leaves a lot of talent for just a few spots. I can't see Lowry and Armia starting on the farm because neither would clear waivers. I think Burmi would have to also. Glad I'm not making these choices.
  12. Helle gets a chance for the starter's role this season.....he won't look back. This team won't be a bottom 6 team again next year. Helle Laine Wheeler Perreault Little Connor Ehlers Buff Trouba and Scheif won't let that happen.
  13. Ferraro thinks Scheifele was the best Canadian in the gold medal game. Laine's one-timer and wrist shot are elite. Said foot speed was a concern from what he heard before the WHC. Thinks he is a really smart player. Also, no matter what Canada did to get him off of his game, they couldn't do it. Mentions his cocky sense of humor. Not a bad listen. edit.........http://www.tsn.ca/radio/winnipeg-1290/ferraro-scheifele-looks-like-a-number-one-centre-1.496364
  14. Wrong again... "Naturally a left wing, Dubois made the switch to centre full-time late in the season and played strictly down the middle by the time the playoffs rolled around. Despite his size and strength, Dubois hasn't quite developed into a strong faceoff man but his net drive and versatility as a playmaker and a finisher have made him a viable option to remain a centre at the pro level."
  15. It is a good move for a few reasons....it brings some new blood into the coaching ranks and the Moose will play the system the Jets want them to play. If Chevy doesn't trade away the farm, and I can't see him doing that, the Moose will be stacked with young talent this year.
  16. he has an NTC not an NMC. McDonagh is one of the better team leaders out there and I'd love to have him on the Jets.
  17. How about this one... McDonagh and Kreider for Myers, Lemieux, Petan, Tanev and the 22nd overall. ESW Kreider Little Laine Connor Perreault Armia Copp Lowry Dano Mcdonagh Buff Enstrom Trouba Morrissey Postma Helle Pavs
  18. Has he ever played the center position? I can't see it, at least not for the first couple of years....he'll have enough adapting to do without having to learn the C position in the NHL.
  19. Ducky back to the Peg as an AC????????
  20. they always did...
  21. So is Scheifele, Trouba, Lowry and Hutch and I think Lipon.
  22. Armia would never clear waivers so he won't start with the Moose.
