How many points did Ehlers have in his first 30 games? If you think that Dano is a better player than Armia that is your opinion and par for the course. Put Armia with so me skilled players and then tell me Dano is better. If Chevy has a choice to protect either Dano or Armia for an expansion draft I guarantee you it is Armia that gets protected. Dano will be lucky to start with the Jets this fall and I expect him to start with the Moose.

The on ly thi ng I see that Dano does better than Armia is go to the front of the net more. Armia is way better defensively and is also a smooth passer and stick handler as well as a deceptive skater. Armia will start with the club in the fall, will Dano?

and I thought the Hawks would meet the Caps in the final...

He is signed for two more years....I doubt he signs a three year contract after this one is finished. IF Dano is a RWer, how many people in front of him? Laine Wheeler Stafford Armia Ehlers(?) It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Dano started with the Moose.

I think Brodin is an up and comer but I'd also trade Enstrom or Myers + ? for Deadmonton's 4th overall. Enstrom plus Dano and 2nd or Myers plus 3rd rounder from next year's draft. Little won't be our 1C or 2C for all that much longer and it is time we started thinking about his replacement. PLD wold be a good start. Really, when our young players start really playing well, how old will Little be? Draft someone now....unless they think they have a 2C in Roslovic??? Not sure.

I think he'll want close to 6m per for at least 5 years. 5' 11" and 190 lbs.....I'd pass.

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/137961/hockeys-future-2016-nhl-prospect-of-the-year-connors-strong-ncaa-season-a-springboard-to-nhl-career/ sorry if someone posted this already...

and I don't think Enstrom is 6' 1" and over 200 lbs.
-
Kosmo and the 22nd doesn't even get the talk started.
-
I've heard that but hope it isn't true. He is an UFA after next season. What would you give for Brodin? Lowry and next year's 1st?
-
Taynted_Fayth had a good idea. We need a good LHD and I think a player like Swedish born Jonas Brodin from the Wild is what we are looking for. He turns 23 this July and averaged over 22 minutes a game this season. He is the right age and his career is headed in the right direction. He played well in the post-season. We have enough pointgetters on our D, let's get a defensively savvy LHD to pair up with Buff or Trouba or Myers. He is signed for 4.17m per year for 5 more years and would be expensive to get. Lemieux, Hutch, Lowry and 22nd overall for Brodin and Minny's 2nd round pick in this year's draft. Is that enough or do we add Burmi or Chiarot?
-
He's playing a much smarter game and realizes it is to his and the team's benefit. After 5 years we might be wishing Chevy signed him to a 6 year deal. I'm okay with Trouba playing LHD another season but if there is an expansion draft, the D could be in for a shake up. We really do need a couple of top pairing LHD on the team. I wouldn't be adverse to sending some players and/or picks for a starting 2LHD depending on the draft situation. Morrissey deserving to make the team this fall would be great for the D corps. A free agent stay at home D man would be nice but I'm not sure if there are any out there and the expansion draft looms there too.

Chevy always has an eye to the future and rightfully so. Burmi Dano Copp and Chiarot are RFAs in the 2017-2018 season and here are some RFAs for the 2018-2019 season... Ehlers Lemieux Morrissey Petan De Leo Kostalek Comrie... with UFAs that season being Little Stuart and Enstrom... Some hefty raises will be on the menu for some of these players.
-
Not to mention that his line shut down the Finn's number one line.
-
That's trading Myers for a number 7 and the forward prospect and the 20th pick sort of cancel out. Not a very wise move....If I had the chance to take PLD or Tkachuk, I wouldn't trade it.
-
Myers and the 22nd overall for Deadmonton's 4th and draft PLD. ESW Connor PLD Laine as the starting two lines in a couple of years is pretty sweet. Perreault Little Armia Lemieux Copp Dano as the bottom 6 isn't too bad either.
-
I would give them our 2nd for that group.

TO doesn't take Matthews then we do without hesitation....he is a franchise center.
