Mountain out of a mole hill if you ask me. What did Tarasenko do to Hitch earlier these playoffs? Laine (if we draft him) is a bona fide sniper. He is first line material. Ehlers will have serious competition and in a year or two, the first two lines for the Jets should be an offensive juggernaut. Who are you going to put your checking line up against if you are defending Little, Wheeler Scheif, Ehlers, Connor and Laine? For sake of argument, in two years if the starting two lines are.... Laine Little Wheeler Connor Scheif Ehlers Who do you check? Lemiex Perreault Armia Lowry Copp Dano as the next two lines and we have a sweet lineup. Where do we put Petan, Burmi, Tanev, Staf, etc...
-
one more time... Connor- Little -Wheeler Ehlers -Sheifele- Laine Copp- Perreault -Armia Petan/Lemieux- Lowry- Dano
-
The expansion draft? It would be better if they just moved the Yotes there but they want the half billion. I really like this idea. We'd get a really good center and be able to protect the three you mentioned. Enstrom + Burmi + Chiarot + our 2nd for Hamonic and Myers + Chicago's 1st for Deadmonton's 4th.
-
Who do you protect? Buff, Myers and Trouba or Hamonic?
-
Had to trade him tho, he wanted out. Here is what I think Maurice will start with next year... Ehlers - Scheifele - Wheeler Laine - Little - Staf Connor - Perreault - Armia Copp - Lowry - Dano Trouba Buff Enstorm Myers Stu Chiarot Pavs Helle

That's what happens when the NHL rapes you of a very, very good team. Think of the players the Jets lost when they came into the league...... Fergy had two picks in the 1st the season he picked McBain, the other was Bobby Dollas if I remember correctly.
-
I would absolutely love to see Staf traded this summer but it probably won't happen until the TR in early 2017. Yup, I really like Armia. I don't think any rookie has played Maurice's style of game better than Armia has and that includes Copp. Armia plays better postionally than Ehlers does and Ehlers has twice the games. Is he better offensively than Ehlers??? Nope. He'll make the team. Book it. Maurice was even trying him at LW at the end of the year but something was screwy there. Armia was hurt or something else was going on........Army hardly got 10 minutes a game towards the end of the season. I'd really like to see a line of Scheif with Connor and Armia one day..... Ehlers - Little - Wheeler and Scheif between Army and Connor but now that Laine is in the picture, you.ve got to think that Armia and Staf are bumped down a line, no? Also, Armia is very good on the PK as well. Maurice has a LOT to play with this year as far as the forwards go. Dano, Tanev, Petan, Lemieux, Burmi and even Copp might not start the year with the big team this fall. Peluso will be with the Moose next year. ESW and Connor MP Little Laine Lowry Armia Thorbs, and Staf, I think, will be with the Jets so it is up to those 6 to fill those two spots (one in pressbox) and I'm not even thinking of Lipon, Kosmo, etc...

or Liane Scheif Ehlers Perreault Little Wheeler Petan Lowry Armia Lemieux Copp Dano There's too many forwards to fit in!!!!!!
-
Nope, no guarantees at all..............but I'd rather have Matthews if I'm Chevy and/or Maurice.........plenty of wingers in the mix and not so much centers.
-
Too bad TO will take Matthews....as good as Laine will be, the Jets could use a C more than a winger. Laine shoots right and plays LW? Some sites say RW and others say LW...

Brown will be a star. Not sure I'd take him over PLD though.
-
Maurice has already said he'd probably keep ESW together so we'll likely see... E-S-W Liane -Little- Staf Connor -Perreault- Armia Copp -Lowry- Dano I'd like to see... ESW Liane Litttle Armia Connor Perreault Dano Copp Lowry Lemieux The Moose will have a lot of talent this year. I would love to see Chevy trade up and get one of Chychrun, Juolevi or Sergachev. Trouba- Buff Enstrom -Hamonic Morrissey/Stu -Postma/Chiarot With a D man on the Moose from this year's draft and in all likelihood, making the big team for the 2017-2018 season.

They are right next to Ehlers on the first line? Of course it's luck, luck that he called.
-
I just got ho me and checked the lottery results..........wow! I can't believe our luck. TO definitely takes Matthews which leaves us Laine....wow! He will do his army stints in the off-season. ESW Perreault Little Laine Connor Petan Armia Lowry Copp Dano I'd love to see Chevy move up from 22nd and take Chychrun, Juolevi or Sergachev around 9th or 10th. I just can't believe our luck. My apologies to Goalie, he called a top 3 pick and here it is.........wow!
-
So, you don't care that we have to protect Myers, Buff and Enstrom?
-
The rules are set to come out on the 30th...................discuss.
-
He was fired because he cannot take a team to the cup. Last year was the farthest he has ever taken a team and he has coached some very, very talented teams. I think management was really patient by not firing him earlier but the writing was on the wall. They will do well with a better coach. I wonder what they would have done this year if Babcock went there last year and not TO. If I'm management, I fire him too. I think the NHL are in Vegas for the 2017-2018 season and I'd be really shocked if they weren't.
-
I think Enstrom and Buff have an NMC and Stu and Myers have an NTC.
-
I think he ends up in AZ.
-
I'll make you any bet you want that Matthews is 1st overall.....anything you want to lose in a bet I will cover. A top 3 would be SOOOOOOOOOOO nice. I honestly think Matthews and this young team would be serious contenders in less than three seasons... but what do I know. I thought picking up Jokkinen and Seto were good moves.
-
RNH is signed for 5 more years and if the Jets aren't contending by then...... Remember, I said only if we don't get a good center in this draft. I think the 8th overall for RNH is a a steal.
-
Myers and De Leo for Hamonic and our pick this year if it is 7th or 8th for RNH. ESW Connor RNH Armia Lemieux Perreault Little Lowry Copp Dano Trouba Buff Enstrom Hamonic Morrissey Chiarot Helle Pavs
-
He'll get you 55 points a year and he is 23 and locked in for 5 more years. Not only does he replace Little, he is better.
-
I would too but given the same talent every GM will go for the bigger body every time. We lost a lot of size and grit is all I'm saying. This could bode well for Lemieux. If Petan had size with his talent, he would have been a top 10 pick. As far as D men goes, I like lotsa height and weight on the blueline. Enstrom is the only smaller D man in the lineup. We ice a D corps with some attitude in Buff and Stu and Trouba too to a point. Chiarot has a bit of a 'tude too now that I think of it. All big guys, even Postma (not very nasty tho).
