Ehlers Scheifele Wheeler I'd like to see them together for 6-8 games to see just how good they can be. 20 minutes a game.
Ladd Little Armia I think Armia is ready to handle the D and will complement his line mates. 17 minutes a game.
Perreault Lowry Staf   Maybe Lowry at LW and Perreault at center not sure but great 3rd line with size, skill and scoring ability, too. 13 minutes a game.
Burmi Copp Thorbs  This wold be the best 4th line we have iced in some time. This line should see 10 minutes a game.

Then we back to two line team.

Too bad they got the late goal.......really dampens Helle's sv% (He gets a .941 instead of a .970) but the W is what's important. That line of Ehlers-Scheif-Wheeler!!!!!!!! wow!!!!!!! Wheeler is tied for 5th in points and only Kane and Karlsson have more assists. Also, how much was Scheif missed when he was out?
Wasn't a poster on here suggesting this line months ago only to be told that Little and Wheeler shouldn't be split up? Ehlers looked like he had another gear tonight. He is finally playing with players that can keep up with his high speed game. He is also using these line mates smarter. Instead of gaining the blue line and carrying it behind the net and eventually being checked, he is finding the open man and passing it off. This is the best line of seen since the Jets came back.
If everyone is healthy after the ASG, what are the forward lines?

I think Armia can handle the D game with Ladd and Little.
Why did Maurice pair up Buff-Chiarot and Trouba-Stuart again for awhile? Was he punishing Trouba? Poor Buff has to go to Nashville while everyone else has time for themselves like Jamaica etc...

That kid is 6'4, 205lbs.  And he's 17.

Ladd will easily get over 5m a year for at least 6 years as an UFA.

Possibly a future Jet getting a hat trick.

I think a team that can't win more than 2 games in a row all season doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.
We aren't going to make the playoffs and I hope Chevy holds out until the TD and gets as much futures as he can for Ladd.

This team is simply built to run based on a budget. You get what you are willing to pay for. Don't blame Chevy he doesn't set the budget or sign the cheques. You can only grind out so many wins with grinders, kids and effort.

Closer to the bottom than making the playoffs i don't want to be that team that misses the playoffs bye a couple of points i would rather pick top five than 8-11 in the draft. If you can't make the playoffs and this team doesn't look like it will you might as well finish as close to the bottom as possible.

I don't know why everyone is worried about signing him at his age. He still skates like the wind and plays the game to his physical abilities. This masks what an intelligent player he is and what a great passer he is. If/when he slows down, there may be a correction period where he might adjust but then switch the way he plays to a more cerebral game and doing more passing instead of lugging it himself. If he picks up his D game as his O game diminishes, does his contract look as bad at the tail end of it?
I think and have mentioned before that Buff is smart enough to turn into a more defensive-minded D man as he ages. Off topic but I think he should be in front of the net during the PP and let someone else take his spot.

He also says there is more focus on signing Buff than trading him or signing Ladd from the Jets side of things. I like that.
Buff for 5 years would be ideal but I'd even go 6 if I had to. Something like 6 x 6.875 for 41.25.

I meant it took leverage away from Yzerman when dealing with other teams to trade him to. ..Drouin has no leverage which is why he is forcing a trade....what else can he do, TB owns his rights for years...he doesn't care what TB gets back.

I'd rather see a true LHD in that position than two RHD playing LHD.

The Jets have some strong solid guys.... not just Buff..... every game you see an opposition players get hit, and  sent flying...

I thought it was the best game I have seen Ladd play this season. He had some jump tonight.
The APE line looked good.
The bottom two lines were a mishmash of D men and Moose players and 4th liners that got the job done. Pardy has 2 shots on goal as a winger!!!!! When was the last time he played a game?
I'm not sure I would call this game boring. the 2nd period was a lot of fun to watch and the last 3 minutes of the game had me on the edge of my seat.
After Pavs is back from the Moose, Hutch is gone.
