You can say that - but he had 5 sacks. He is worth bringing into camp when you have no clear backup to Lawson. It is an overreaction to be this upset about it. He is coming to camp. That’s it.

Here is the thing about Jackson that keeps him on the roster. He is a jack of all trades - master of none. He has the ability to play multiple positions as an emergency fill in plus STs. Does he come off as exceptional in any of them? Not really- but his value to the Bombers is based on his ability to provide at least temporary borderline ability should the need arise. I get why people are frustrated with him being on the roster - but that is why he is here.

I’d be good with Ouellette and still bringing guys in just like every other year.

I think we all need to keep in mind that vets do get cut. He isn’t in pen in the lineup despite what some may believe. They may not like what they see in FA as a replacement. They may have their eye on a guy in the draft. I wouldn’t lose sleep about it right now.
