  1. I've never stated that this was about me. I was first in line to get vaccinated which almost instantly restored some of the things that I need in order to be healthy. I know things will be conflated so i'll expand my statement. What people want is to get rights in writing for things that we all took for granted as rights but it turned out to be that we didn't have any of these rights. Im not convinced i agree with all of it but I'm just staying that there's no appetite whatsoever for a right wing dictatorship (facist) in Canada. It's quite the opposite. The left wouldn't want it because its right wing. And the right doesn't want it because they're more focused on freedom from government. It's actually quite laughable to suggest there's an increased appetite for facism in this country.
  2. Jokes aside. Literally what is being fought for is an expansion of personal rights. Or at the very least a return to the normal rights that people used to have in this country. Wacko's exist. No doubt about that but absolutely everything would be painted by wacko's if all positions were defined by the character of the dumbest person who supports them. There are of coarse wacko's who actually believe that the vaccines were killing people in large numbers. But there's a large segment of the population that actually have some level of empathy for those who were not privalaged with the same level of intellect as you or I and feel that people should not be punished for making a medical choice beyond the punishment of the natural consequences they will face for making that decision.
  3. I don't think people are yearning for fascism. There's actually a big movement in Canada for more personal freedoms.
  4. It's important to pay just as much attention to what views are from around the world when it comes to a war like this because of how much propaganda exists at a time of war.
  5. I'm not a Faj supporter by any means but I think the argument could be made that the team around him especially the offensive line is worse then what is was when Fajardo took over for an injured Collaros. Fajardo has put up respectable numbers considering the pressure he's been under. He's a bit of a warrior type guy but I do think his upside his limited by his lack of touch on deeper passes. He'd be a nice backup guy to bring in on a team who wants to go with an injured prone starter or a team looking to give a young qb a chance and want a plan b. They will need to address their pass protection if they want to go with a guy like Bo Levi Mitchell next season who's body is already wearing down considerable under the best of conditions. I'm reluctant to call Fajardo a game manager because I don't see a lot of game managing skills there. But he's more consistent than Dane has been this season. Dane when he's on makes the ticats tough to beat but he's laid too many eggs this season.
  6. Viktor Orbán says only Donald Trump can end Ukraine war
  7. Nice thing about Darby is he should be healthy AF. It all worked out great for him. He took top dollar in free-agency and now he's back with a team that will get him top playoff dollars.
  8. For the record I never suggested that each of the 3 were elite. Only that it was an elite trio on paper. I think if you had those three with Zach, our offensive line and our coaching they'd be just fine.
  9. Obviously there's been injuries this year. But the issue isn't the receivers. Its the QB and the offensive line. We'd be fine in Winnipeg with that trio, our offensive line, and Zach.
  10. Duke Williams, Kyran Moore, and Evans. That's an elite trio. With a good qb they would be pretty prolific. They need some work in some areas for sure. But I don't think they need a complete rebuild as many are suggesting. Under good management they could be competitive next season. If you can find a couple defensive backs, and american tackle and a defensive end then you're doing something wrong. Unless you're in a situation like edmonton was in you don't need to completely gut a team. In the CFL there's little benefit to building like that because the different between a 4th overall pick and a 1st or 2nd overall pick isn't gigantic. Its more about making wise selections.
  11. Looked to me like he had a screw loose. The riders biggest problem right now is their head coach. Zero accountability. He's afraid of his players. Constantly making excuses for them and clearly not in charge. If the bombers have a unproven 3rd string qb who gets a DUI i feel like he's instantly cut. The whole Marino situation. Dickenson finally states publicly that the team isn't very good and then he sheepishly apologizes to his his players and basically tells them its not true. And now you have a guy like Dan Clarke who should be told that he should retire for his own good. Some players need to be told. But Dickenson wouldn't have the courage to tell him. The riders have the talent to be better then they are. That receiving core should be something special at least on paper. The defense is also fine. If they brought in a coach who would keep the players accountable and signed Bo Levi Mitchell they could be pretty competitive.
  12. https://www.cfl.ca/2022/09/30/dalton-schoen-makes-bomber-history-with-11th-td-reception/ Id like to see where Scheon ranks on this lists when compared only to true rookies such as himself. Players like Tuttle and Dave Williams would not qualify as a rookie in today's CFL since they had dressed in NFL games prior.
  13. We already signed a DB last week who has some upside. The guy who's missing a couple digits. It might be in the teams best interest though to move Alexender to halfback and stick with the Canadian safeties who were playing quite well. Is Houston done for the year?
  14. The bearish outlook on Streveler is what happens once the starter is healthy. Do they move white to the practice roster and release Streveler? Or do they cut Flacco and keep Streveler on pr?
  15. Are we not approaching the end of a second stint for couture? I dint realize there was a difference between what Dobsen would make on the dev roster and the active roster. If he comes back to the cfl now Winnipeg would be front runners for sure. I don't see him signing a long term deal right now so he's just looking at making some money and then reevaluating his situation in the off-season. So the playoff money is key and also the familiarty in Winnipeg will put him in the best situation to look good down the stretch and maybe get another nfl look.
  16. I guess we can start selling playoff tickets now.
  17. Would we have Ford returning kicks if Grant is a no go. Until this week I've been taking his health for granted.
  18. I believe Harrison is in the lineup because we don't have any Canadian backup receivers. I wonder if we would look at signing Mike Jones as a backup who was released by the Elks.
  19. I was thinking we would use McRae when we are using a tight end formation. But honestly I'd keep Agudosi in due to his size he probably is a decent blocker.
  20. Perhaps Winnipeg will trade Dubois and sign Kadri.
  21. My only concern is that we are a little bit thin. Rose is coming off an injury and wasn't able to excel in the first two games. Who's the next man up if Rose continues to struggle or has an injury set back.
  22. He's a great rotationary piece. He is very strong and gets to the quarterback. Being a global it frees up a di to provide depth somewhere else. Glad to have him back. He replaces a defensive end who probably doesnt do much on special teams.
  23. In the CFL that's almost always the case in week one. Last season was a special year but we thought we were weaker in some areas. Especially the secondary. Last year we recruited tremendously well thanks partially to the XFL folding. Before Winnipeg started resting players Winnipeg was was on the most dominant teams in CFL history. The team has taken a step back in talent this year but could very well still be the best team in the league.
  24. If I had to pick one Id say the Redblacks have improved by more than the Bombers have regressed. Redblacks could be the beasts of the East.
